Commiserations to Kilsyth, would have liked to see another central team back in the premier, but not to be.

Well done to Kilwinning, hopefully we can take a point of you next season !

Seen Carlos goal on Twitter, he certainly knows how to hit a free kick !

Edit - just realized that goal was Wednesday - point still stands though

Well that was some of the worst goalkeeping I've ever seen. Kilsyth's first equaliser was poor, it went through the keeper's legs but from far enough out that he definitely had time to react and kick it away. Buff's second goal was palmed into the net by a keeper who doesn't seem to know about getting your body behind the ball. He was standing stock still. Kilsyth's second was the pick of the bunch though - a badly-hit attempt to lob the keeper from a long way out, the keeper got down low to take it in front of him but it bounced and Went over him. It couldn't have been more than three feet off the ground when it cleared him, and it was a perfectly normal bounce.

An entertaining night, good crowd, great pie, decent weather, a neutral couldn't ask for more.

Better team over the two legs but it wasn't to be, if you don't put your chances away especially on Wednesday well that's football, congratulations to the buffs, great wee set up at Abbey park [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122]

My honest opinion? Neither of them deserve to be in the Premier next season. The ref a complete bunmmer. Kilwinning keeper time wasting from first to last, never spoken too, others throwing themselves to the ground, not booked or even warned. Both keepers making mistakes although Carlin did redeem himself with some fine saves in the second half. Scott Davidson a revelation playing wide left, he scored two fine goals but I'm afraid some others contributed not enough on the night, another season in the first division too look forward to, once again we failed to clear the final hurdle, its getting monotonous.

Don't agree. First of all, it's the first time in several seasons we've been close to promotion. Obviously it's very painful having led the league for so long to fall at the final hurdle.
As for the 2 games against Kilwinning we were, by far, the better team over both games. That's the most painful thing.
Missing the chances on Wednesday night didn't help, as we could, and should, have gone down tonight 2-1 or 3-1.
Again made chances tonight but gave away two very easy goals. Proved we can play and Kilwinning players acknowledged they were lucky. Just need to make sure we take that into the start of next season.

Who exactly in your eyes never contributed enough garrellburn? Over the 2 games we were far the better team but unfortunately didn't take our chances.

You have just summed up the buffs season this year in the top league "we didn't take our chances", good to get the breaks this time, both teams deserve credit for their efforts during these two games, Kilsyth probably more, 3 games in 6 days, crowd was the winner tonight nail biting stuff, Kilsyth will be fine next year, might have a wee bet on them early doors, they lost it first game against a makeshift team, good luck to them for next season, good watch.

Krfc10 you are deluded. We could have taken 2 or 3 more goals off you last 20 mins. At least I admitted you should have beaten us soundly during first leg and taken your chance. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji375][emoji375] Nail hammerer!

Good luck in the super first next year.

Might be worth Kilsyth celebrating when they've actually won promotion rather than acting like they've done it after winning a game before Xmas.........

Here we go , u mean the game we leathered u 4 going on 14 -1 , when u were dreadful ? We had a makeshift team that day an destroyed u ?
The league doesn't lie , u deserved 2 go up after going on a run of winning 6 games , why don't u just enjoy the fact your promoted an have a bit of dignity in your success instead of acting like a tit spelt backwards ya twat !

Don't agree with you Kilsyth had chances in the first game but never took them. Kilwinning took their chance and held onto it.
Last nights game I'd say kilwinning were the better footballing team when they got the ball down and played Kilsyth couldn't cope. Kilsyth also tried to utilise the long ball from back to front and didn't create that many problems for The Buffs. Buffs had umpteen chances to kill off the game. I'd also like to praise the 5/6 young guys that came into help the club over the games. Over both legs Buffs were unable to field there first 11 so it's a credit to the guys who came into help. Onwards & upwards.
