Dalbeattie Star 2-1 Lochar Thistle (aet)

Dalbeattie's revival train continued its journey as they book a place in the Semi-Final of the Southern Counties Cup.

They'd to come from behind to force extratime, before scoring the winner.

Lockerbie and Dalbeattie are pretty much equidistant from Dumfries so fingers crossed the final is held at Palmerston. Nothing to do with it being a 2 minute walk for me

DALBEATTIE v MID ANNANDALE FINAL AT GALABANK
Football   11-05-2018

DALBEATTIE Star and Mid Annandale will fight it out for the Southern Counties Challenge cup at Galabank at the end of the month.

Both sides will face two weeks without a fixture before they compete for the South of Scotland's Premier Trophy.

The match will go ahead at Galabank on Saturday May 26 with a 3pm kick off and comes after Star and Mids scored five goals each without reply in Wednesday night's semi-finals.

Star made sure of their final place in the South’s principal trophy with a 5-0 win over Abbey Vale as they try to defend the trophy which they won a year ago.

The game had to be switched from Vale's Maryfield Park at New Abbey to Islecroft Stadium at the last minute because of the heavy rain which caused flooding at Maryfield.

Mid Annandale meanwhile continued their great season with a 5-0 win over Bonnyton Thistle at Kilmarnock to earn a final tie.

Dammit. Ah well, same place as last year, not too far to go. Cheers for the info.
