I’m not sure if he is going to be trusted with anymore budget.

How many players has he missed out on, its an embarrassment just how much damage he’s done in such a short space of time. The recruitment has been a disaster and mismanagement of the highest order. He’s clearly got no idea what he’s doing. Tommy Craig all over again. Get rid now.

Tweet from Tony Fitzpatrick this morning, tick tick tick .

Bit of a trite soundbite and one that sounds like "I knew all along he was the wrong guy"

This was his quote when Stubbs was appointed -

"

St Mirren chief executive Tony Fitzpatrick told BBC Scotland that Stubbs was the "standout candidate".

"He fits in perfectly with the philosophy of the club"

To be honest Fitzy is part of the problem.

He is a club legend and a fans favourite but he spouts some amount of pish in the media. We have not replaced Brian Caldwell and have struggled since his departure.

The problem we have here is the manager now has till the end of the week to bring in new players to improve what we have . Is he going to be allowed any more budget due to the uncertainity over his future? Who knows.
If he doesn't strengthen, whether that's down to no funds released by the chairman or another failed attempt at bringing in targets, he's going to be absolutely crucified either way.

We are struggling, though we are listening to offers for one of our best players in Cammy Smith? I am not happy with this .
Did anyone else hear a rumour Cammy was wanted to leave at the end of last season?

If one makes a mistake one can correct it. That's what good people do.

Heard on Saturday Tony it is being said to be out his depth in his roll at the club.

Stubbs picks who he wants then Tony negotiates it's clear the experienced players we want have fallen through so Tony is part of the problem.

However what we are watching on the park is Stubbs fault he needs to be replaced as soon as possible or we will go adrift at the bottom.

Stubbs had a fantastic recruitment team behind him at Hibs, although there were some absolutely awful signings too. It seems he struggled to make effective signings at Rotherham and the same seems to have happened at St Mirren. He also came into Hibs with basically a blank canvas to work with which will have helped.

Disappointed to see him struggling, if he doesn’t turn it round here he’ll be onto BT Sport for a permanent gig.

Tony had no problem getting the players in that Jack Ross wanted, he isn’t the problem.

Stubbs and Jackson are the problem.

What would be disgracefully unprofessional is standing idly by while the squad is ripped apart. This hierarchical nonsense of standing by the manager is pish. Sometimes you need to have enough integrity to say what you think in the knowledge that's the only way things will improve.

McGinn as the club captain and with his alleged undying love for the club should be working with and for the new manager in order to get us out the rut we're in  no matter what his feelings toward the manager are.. Not acting like he has done - On the park on Saturday toward Cammy and in that ridiculous interview.

So how long do we give the manager. We are 3 days off the window closing. If we are to part company it has to be now not after we can only sign free transfers.

Getting rid of him now wouldn't help much with bringing new players in. We'd have to rush an appointment and then rush in some last minute signings.

Seems a better option than leaving this clown at the helm.

How many more non league jobbers can he sign before Friday.

Just had a look at Fitzpatrick's twitter: https://twitter.com/babakoochibear

What a fucking mess that is. It's not the official "St Mirren Chief Executive" twitter account, if there actually is one, but that previously posted ambiguous and trite bullshit quote was posted on it so I presume we are all looking at the same account.

For a start, as a Chief Exec he knows that anything he posts is going to be noticed. This means bullshittery like this..

Dlls7IuX0AIn3gN.jpgDlgtyJZW4AAJmjI.jpg:large

...can seriously f**k off. It's trite, facile and only makes him look an utter fucking buffoon. Good player as he was, that can't be used to write blank cheques for the foreseeable future.

Secondly what the f**k is he trying to achieve with this mince? You know who doesn't rely on motivational bullshit? Successful people, whereas losers use them as some sort of determinist emotional crutch.

Fitzpatrick, if you are reading this, and I doubt you will be, man the f**k up, either provide a definitive statement or keep the f**k quiet. Stirring the pot when you were the person responsible for putting the pot on the stove is just lazy and cowardly.

Fitzy Doesn’t have the final say in such matters.

..but he has a say. I don't see Scott posting ambiguous trite bullshit on his twitter feed. What Fitzpatrick did was post the equivalent of "Dreadful day, don't want to talk about it" on Facebook, it's just inviting comment and he must know that which makes it all the worse.

We all know what Tony went through it's something that never leaves you. If that's how Tony deals with it who are you to judge ?

Personally he can do anything he wants, as a Chief Exec though he should realise he has to be professional which means no ambiguous bullshit and god bothering nonsense.
