From what I've read he plays further up the park than Baccus or Gogic.

We're crying out for a player in the mould of a Connor Ronan - maybe this guy is our attempt at that?

Four games in Premiership 2 this season, scored one and four assists in those four games so if he can create chances, that would be a huge addition.

Absolutely.

If we'd had him this season, along with the player upgrades we signed in August, we'd be stick ons for top six IMO.

Be interested to see if we get him and if so how he will be utilised.

We've not scored enough for sure.

Greive Main and Watt can score but need more chances. Still hoping Watt adds these and hoping it enables 3 points in our next match.

It definitely won't in our next match unfortunately, Watt can't play as Utd is his parent club.

Keannu Baccus is in the Australian squad for games against Ecuador in Sydney (Mar 24) and Melbourne (Mar 28).

His World Cup showing is clearly still playing in his favour as Ryan Strain has been in far better form, so I'd have expected him to have been called up ahead of Keanu.

Outstanding news about Carson. What a keeper. Hopefully see a couple other seniors sign on for longer now. O'Hara till 2025 would be unreal.

Totally agree. Main and Strain would also be good.

I'd imagine when we have a specific points tally to determine where we finish as a minimum may trigger more activity e.g top 6 security/mathematically avoid relegation/playoffs.

This is where our track record can be vital with recruitment. Young guys like Boyd-Munce can see what has happened to the likes of Morgan, Mallan, McAllister, McGrath, McCarthy, Ronan, Erhahon, Strain and Baccus. International call-ups or big money moves down south await after a short spell in our first team.

Boyd-Munce has been capped for NI at every age group up to U21 so hopefully he can come in, add a bit of steel in the middle of the park, get us top 6 and play himself into Michael O'Neill's plans.

Only downside is, he doesn't seem to have played much first team football anywhere. But I trust the manager's judgement enough to give the boy a chance. SR and trhe boy himself both deserve that at the least.

Youve got nothing to worry about this season, really. I know top 6/europe is the goal but you can experiment on your way.

Presumably bedding this guy in with a view of him being set to start next season while you sell Baccus for a decent fee is the plan.

Clubs who plan ahead while strong tend to keep getting better.

Seems like CBM (the new JDH) will only be a bit part player for most of what is left of this season but he has the carrot of that additional years contract to fight for and hopefully he takes that opportunity. Seems like a shrewd bit of business by the club for very little risk.

What we're seeing these last few weeks is the tangible benefit of not being involved in the relegation dog fight for once.

We can plan ahead for next season already, knowing we will be in the top flight. It makes for a pleasant change!

Having an actual transfer strategy in place.

Offering players new deals before their contracts are up.

signing players with an eye on next season.

Who are this mob and what jave they done with St. Mirren.

Yeah, absolute night and day to previous seasons.

Could have unearthed a gem with this signing. We were certainly a little light in midfield with very few alternative types of players.
