The St. Mirren FC 2023/24 thread

Really nice that.

He's not had the normal trajectory either of a young player breaking into the team, doing well then moving on e.g. Magennis and Morgan. He's had his ups and downs.

Thrown in at the deep end, out of position at left back as a 17 year old, the trial at Barnsley, in and out the team, not getting along with Goodwin....

All that will stand him in good stead for what's to come and hopefully provide us with a hefty sell-on fee eventually!

That's a good read as a Saints fan it's all you would want from a young man brought up in the St Mirren system. An appreciation for his football schooling then finishing with Paisley is in my DNA this is not the end.

Yes we win tomorrow we will likely go 4th

Taking anything tomorrow would be a good result. With Hibs at home on Saturday and then the return game against Motherwell just around the corner, we've a real opportunity to get decent points racked up.

New manager bounce and us away from home but they were woeful against Hibs and their confidence is low.

They have 2 new CB's to bed in and their full backs are poor.

I'm more concerned with us against Hibs. At times they are poor but they trashed us last time out.

Would it be a bad thing if Reid's deal never materialised? We could do with the cover for midfield. Is the financing for Watt dependent on Reid moving?

Reid's deal is done, just to officially be announced.

We've got 5 players for 3 positions in midfield.

No
