Anthony O'Connor linked according to a Morecambe fan over on BAWA.

He played for Aberdeen a few years back.

Is he not another centre half? Seems overkill to have Gallagher, Joe, Dunne, Fraser and one more

Defensive midfield/centre half I think. Would indicate that Gogic definitely isn’t coming back if it’s true.

Alan Nixon (journo) linked us with him after the story about us turning to another target after the Gallagher deal allegedly collapsed. Guessing we won’t be after another centre half now though?

I think we definitely need to run with 5 centre half options in the squad if he's going to be playing 3 at centre back every week. Especially as Dunne always seems to be right on the cusp of an injury.

Jamieson always stood as one of the young lower league strikers to watch when I looked. Genuinely interested to see how he'd get on if he gets a chance with you this season, although you've a lot of depth up front.

Do you have any analytics on him? I remember a couple of Caley Thistle fans being quite impressed with him in the Championship last year, but after an initial run of games he fell out the team and ended up at Clyde. He seems to have been threatening to break in to the St Mirren first team squad for years now.

He's only just turned 20. Maybe you're confusing him with Sam Jamieson who came on as a sub v Hibs 4 years ago.

I think I most definitely am. Was S. Jamieson a big stocky type, who always seemed to get a start in friendlies and was never seen in the league?

Aye, barrel-chested, all-action bustling forward. Always played well in reserve/U20 games but just not good enough for the first team. Last I heard he was at Albion Rovers but may have gone "Junior" now.

You'd struggle to find a fanbase more eager for a young striker to come through the ranks. Barry Lavety was the last*. I am desperate for Jamieson and Offord to be good enough to be in the frame this season.

*McGarry was a midfielder.

Jon McShane threatened. He was going the Stevie May route of scoring loads of goals in lower leagues and then just fell away. He'd peaked at 21.

I think Kiltie is the key here, he had far better figures than McGrath last season and he never even took a penalty either. Big season for him and if he stays fit and in form I can see him getting double figures.
Kiltie has been playing pro football for 10 years and in that time has scored the grand total of 25 goals according to various websites so I fail to see how he is suddenly going to hit double figures in a single season in the top division. That's not a criticism of Kiltie, I like him a lot but I just don't expect him to get more than 5 or 6 goals although I'd love to be wrong.

The "if" in "if he stays fit", is also a huge "if", given his previous injury record.
