Never set foot in Ugly Duck, The Lane or Barga, so I will bow to your superior knowledge of Paisley pubs. Is Barga where Borgia used to be? That was a good sized pub and had plenty of TVs about so I imagine that would be a good shout tbf. I’ve never thought of Gabriel’s like that, I certainly wouldn’t put it in the same bracket as The Tile or The Swan though. When I was younger myself and a couple of work mates used to do an east end pub crawl, starting in the Swan, then the Tile, round to The Anchor, one in Gabriels, one in the Kelburn, up to the Burgh Bar for a game of darts then back to Gabriels until shutting time. What is the closest pub to the stadium nowadays? I haven’t been in the west end for a while so I don’t even know what pubs are still open. The Tartan Rose or The Buddies?
