That old cant Thompson at United just did what he wanted when they were after McCall from us. Got his just desserts finally mind you. Dundee now seem to have the same policy. Only person whose in a no lose situation is Ross. He is quite an astute guy who spends a lot of time dealing with legal stuff in tedious stadium & training ground planning so I'd be surprised for ignorance on that magnitude. It's also quite public which would make a warning call from colleagues pretty easy to prevent an accidental breach.It could be that he's maybe going over to stay close by but the stuff about John Potter and financial guarantees seem to suggest more is happening. John Nelms has been one of the most professional owners we have ever had. The way he has went about his business up till this point has been incredible. It's not much of a compliment considering people previously involved, but he seems incredibly switched on in the limited dealings I've had with him and from the way he took over, got rid of Gardiner and Bomber, appointed Hartley, sacked Hartley and subsequently appointed McCann. The way he talks about our game is incredibly positive and he is willing to take calculated risks: appointing a managerial unknown at the point of a crisis, risking the fans going against him by his decision to leave Dens. People assume we are skint these days, the money is there when Nelms and Co. want something for the business, the only reason we are assumed to be skint is because we aren't ran moronically like so often in the past.
