You seriously cannot compare the two scenarios here: The players of Aberdeen, Celtic and Rangers broke covid protocols in their personal lives, away from football. We've admitted to wrongdoing, probably in the hope that we'd get slapped on the wrist and it's backfired so we will just have to take it. The carsharing point is a bit ridiculous on our part if the club knew it was going on but this is a fucking ludicrous charge. Quote St Mirren admitted a number of breaches of the SPFL’s Covid-19 Regulations. These admitted breaches involved the seating arrangements on the coach and at the pre-match meal for an away game. In both cases there was a failure to observe physical distancing by the players and staff. All we can hope is that the players are now feeling is that the punishment is unduly harsh, following on from being essentially forced to play without a keeper earlier in the season. Monkey socks Posted December 3, 2020 Share Posted December 3, 2020 Disagree with the punishments/ awards on the basis of setting a precedent which could be expanded on without any recourse of appeal. Does anybody know what tier, if there were any, was in effect at the time of the offences? If it was low and this is the result, now that central Scotland is high because the risk of infection transmission is higher, how do the authorities decide the severity of breaches of protocol? How many are involved / who are involved? Was it playing staff or the tea woman?
