I only just noticed Jak Alnwick was sent off for St Mirren on Saturday.

Will that mean another recall for Big Peter for their next game after the international break?

Apparently this will happen again. Sore one after how good Peter has been particularly today. He's a top class keeper who is going to go on and play at a level far above this.

Bit worried Grieve may be injured. He got 45 minutes the other night and scored twice before not resurfacing for the 2nd half whilst on a hat-trick then didn't even make the bench for their next game against Fiji yesterday.

Just came on after 60mins in their game against Tahiti.

If New Zealand beat the Solomon Islands the’ll play the 4th team in North America (currently Costa Rica) to get to the World Cup proper. Would be incredible to see a Saints player at a World Cup finals.

And financially beneficial. ICT had a player at the World Cup finals (can't remember who) and they raked in a six figure sum from FIFA.

Didn't know that - this would come in handy -

"For the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia and the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, every club which supplies players for the tournament will receive a proportional share of $209 million"

Basic maths (32 teams, 23 players per squad) says that's ~$284k per player.

I've always liked New Zealand...

Aye, you do get a bit of cash for each player at a tournament.  I think it's pro-rata'd depending on how far the country gets in the tournament.

We got some money for Stephen O'Donnell & Declan Gallagher for being in the Scotland squad at the Euro's.  As Gallagher's contract with Motherwell didn't expire until the end of June 2021, it went to us as opposed to Aberdeen.

I can't remember the exact figures, but it was a decent enough amount (and better than a boot to the bollocks!)

He might come up against John McGinn and Kenny McLean in Qatar. 😎

Some good news there. He just turned 18 and seems to score every week for East Kilbride in the LL and he looked good in the few games he played for us this season. Think he’s got a big future and hope to see him in the first team squad next season.

The 'Shire . I thought we might lose him for buttons , with English clubs already sniffing about. Glad we've managed to hold onto him !

Kieran is one of those rare things we’ve seldom produced from our academy. A striker. It will be a real bonus if both Offord and Jamieson turn out to be good strikers, it’s been a long wait for the academy to start producing young strikers.

We have some really good prospects with Grieve as well. Just need to offload Main and give these lads a chance

What’s all this pish with Dons fans trying to convince everyone they don’t rate Jamie Langfield as a keeper coach, he’s proving to be invaluable for all of our keepers. He’s also been a source of great positivity around the club.

It's because as well as being a poor keeper, he was also a bit of a c**t.
