Yeah mate, it's Scott Burns who's reporting he rejected other Scottish clubs as he wanted to rejoin us.

Whilst this is true....this

We've not paid nearly as much as they wanted, the player simply refused other other offers and chose us.

Unlucky.

Is all you.

You've won two cups in the past 12 months and had probably one of the best European results of a Scottish non-OF club in 20 years. A truly enviable position and yet you still need constant reassurance with pish like 'we're definitely not paying as much as other teams would have'.

If you honestly think Rangers knocked back higher offers to give Middleton the move of his choice rather than telling St. Johnstone to match the best offer as the player wants to go to them, then that's up to you. Whatever gets you through the day I suppose.

St Mirren got cold feet about Middleton when the news came through that the Scottish Government are wanting quarterly reports on how their loan money has been spent.

Hence why they are desperately trying to offload McGrath this week to try and cover their tracks.

Someone really should have explained to "Fitzy" that it wasn't just free money.

So are you saying that we can't just blow the money on a single frivolous purchase and that 5-week contract on the table for Lionel Messi has to be pulled too?

f**k...

We bought Clive instead of Middleton, throwing out money about like nobody’s business. Clive will write the quarterly reports for us.

Your quarterly reports will soon be linked with moves to Sunderland and Portsmouth then.

I personally think the real reason only 1000 people are getting in on Saturday is because of the season ticket problems and the fact they don't have the cards out yet. Everyone turning up trying to get in using phones, or printed bits of paper will be a disaster. Getting through Saturday gives them till the 28th August to sort it out.
Do you not already need to get your tickets scanned on the way in? As a visiting supporters I've had to buy a ticket at the ground to use at the non-cash turnstiles.

The Motherwell game on Sunday had entry by mobiles and printed bits of paper as we can't use our season cards yet as we're getting allocated seats elsewhere.

Rangers never rejected anything, Middleton did, and Rangers would rather loan him out for regular games than have him in their colt side.

We regularly lose out on players because we refuse to overpay, St Mirren fans have two examples of that in their current squad, Middleton would've been no different if he himself hadn't pushed for it.

So this goes one of two ways.

Clubs offer either a fee to loan a player or to cover some or all of his wage. Depending on the level of wage cover offered, that's down to Rangers to accept or reject before it even reaches the player to decide. If for example St. Mirren offered to cover 2/3rd of Middletons wages for the duration of his loan, St. Johnstone 1/2 and lets say Dundee Utd, 100%, you honestly don't think Rangers would knock back both Saints bids and tell them to match Utd?

Conversely, if Rangers just accepted everything regardless of wage coverage offered by clubs (unlikely), it literally at that point doesn't make a difference. If Rangers just accepted all offers Middleton really doesn't give a toss who covers what percentage of the wages, he's still getting paid in full by Rangers on his wage slip and has no worry about who is squaring the wage amount up with Rangers and for how much.

Got Man of the Match tonight, really really impressed, before tonight had only played off the bench at Motherwell (where he impressed) and away against the Andorran farmers on the worst quality stream I’ve ever seen so f**k knows how he played that night.
But he looks a proper player, some really good touches, a real real upgrade on Gogic, a bit of McGeouch about him but a better tackler and more direct, hardly put a foot wrong tonight and drove us forward, a lot of nice touches, fully expect him to be playing every week this season based on what I’ve seen so far.
Kyle Magennis is also starting to look like there’s a real player there too which is nice to see, he was good tonight aswell.

He had great games and poor games for us, most of the great games came at this time last season too coincidentally.

He signed for us in November last year.

Tell you what, there's no need for us to release our finances, we'll just direct people to some random poster online.

Edit: A quick look on other threads suggests most clubs in this division don't need to release their finances either.

Decent of the St Johnstone fans to clear everything up for us when our finances were being investigated last year.

Thanks for Jake Doyle-Hayes lads, absolute pler

We said the same after he was instrumental in beating Rangers last season. Then he had his head turned at the thought of more money , and his performance level dropped off the edge of a cliff. In the end he was getting a game because of what he was capable of , not for his contribution. The same will happen again when English Championship clubs start sniffing around !

Anyone who has been successful in a ballot so far able to shed any light on this for me? At the turnstiles, did you waft a mobile phone or iPad at the automated ‘card reader’, or did you print out your ‘ticket’? Ta.
