I think its great. Every other fan who has came on here thinks it was a dive other than st.mirren fans.
Diving is awful however the referee this time did well. Problem for me is the consistency from the referees

Nope I agree it was a dive he went down in anticipation of a tackle stupid boy.

This kind of thing happens all the time.

Attacking player runs at speed in to a defender.

9 times out of 10 ref gives a foul to the attacker

I’ve honestly never seen a foul given the other way, let alone get a yellow card.

Those saying otherwise are at the wind up.

The players body doesn't move.

His foot comes out.

Lyon runs straight at him.

Lyon initiates the contact and is beginning to fake the tackle before he even contacts the defender.

I understand you're utterly blinded because you support St Mirren, we all do it, but it's totally understandable he's been booked for diving, and it's certainly not a scandalous decision.

This, very amateur from Mr. Lyons - hopefully his next attempt will be an improvement.

From Stubbs signings, that leaves Cody Cooke, Lee Hodson and Josh Heaton.

With Hodson on loan from Rangers and Heaton away at Kidderminster (and probably won't be back) that's 1 permanent signing that has made it to January.

Textbook how not to build a squad and an indication of what Kearney has had to deal with.

Kpekawa now away. That is 13 players out the door.

I was wrong - its actually 16 out since Oran took over. Has any team in the top flight ever got rid of 16 players (and possibly a couple more to go) in the January window?

Rogers still with us too, though agree it just shows how big a shambles his recruitment was.

Yet we still have the usual suspects in the Scottish media in full scale denial that the club were correct to fire the imposter Stubbs.

OK has completely emptied the duds that Stubbs inflicted on us.  He’s inherited the worst shambles  you can imagine, and deserves credit for his bravery in clearing the decks. The very least he deserves is a chance to give it a go with his own signings.

The media were talking up Jim Goodwin for the job on Saturday. Despite OK still being in the role...

The Lyons incident has proven what a difficult job the refs in this country have.

Even with VAR there are still going to be arguments, because some fans just see what they want to see, and not what is actually right in front of them.

It's hilarious, but worrying in equal measure, that anyone seriously thinks Brad Lyons was guilty of simulation in this incident.

There are officials who looked at Morelos kicking a player against Aberdeen in the opening game of the season, and all in one game kicking Scott Brown, stamping on another player and smacking a third in the crotch.

And that's not under VAR time pressure, it's sitting in a quiet room being able to take all the time they want.

VAR might clear up relatively incidents like this, but will not fix most things while the people who run the game don't want to admit their officials make mistakes (oh, and while two clubs still get the benefit of every doubt).
