I agree. She can avoid doing anything before Thursday and if the next one is not till 2021 she will stick to the usual soundbites and photo opps.

I reckon that the emergence of Farage and the Brexit nutters will cause Davidson and the Tories in Scotland all kinds of problems.

Not just them losing support on Thursday, but the inevitable swing to the right that the Westminster party will take. Davidson must know that she's in danger of being isolated and exposed north of the border, and any kind of serious questioning of what the Tories have to offer Scotland in the future will make her extremely uncomfortable.

Her tired, boring, one-policy, Loyalist-lite garbage will only stretch so far. Epecially now that it looks like SNP support is holding up strongly and even increasing.

I do wonder if we're reaching a tipping point in Scottish politics.

At some point she's going to have to emerge from wherever she's hiding and try to justify why people should vote for her party.

It's insane that she isn't put under more scrutiny by the Scottish media.

Well, it won't be today as she's now saying she could work with Boris as PM. Must be time for a no-questions photo opportunity, though. Her staff probably on the phone to that buffalo farm right now.

I think her political opportunism is clear for all to see. Well, except for the media.

In the way the toilet cleaners at Apple Park work with Tim Cook. She’ll be working for him, the fucking serf.

Brexit catching up with Ruth and the Tories in Scotland.

The Unionists have put all their faith in Ruth to save the Union, she was the saviour. But she is now looking vulnerable also, coming across as a one trick, career politician pony.

When the indyref2 campaign eventually starts you have to ask who do the No side have? Crumbling Ruth? Bumbling Boris? Dinosaur Gordon Brown? Irrelevant Willie Rennie? The guy that leads Labour in Scotland?

Well we can only hope so, but we need the People's Friend to endorse independence and destroy the Umionist vote.

Davidson (like Mundell) is the ultimate political opportunist.

If the Tories were to appoint the head of the KKK as leader, Davidson would suddenly become a Jew-hating, racist, homophobe, and she would have a list of reasons why she'd always supported the Grand Wizard on his way to the top of the Tory party.

She's utterly detestable.

Isn't Ruth Davidson thought highly of within the conservative party?

Looking on paddy power politics betting, if (when) May goes, would people think she'd be interested in becoming PM?

Doubt it, too lazy and a new baby. And the small matter that she's not an MP.

No way someone who is thought of as a 'moderate' or 'centrist' (in a Tory manner), will become next leader of these f*ckwits.

The membership are looking for someone to the right of Adolf Hitler to take over, with the same moral values.

I know someone who’s a member along similar ideological lines as Ken Clarke and he rates her but he’s clearly in the minority of members if he’s got those beliefs. It’s the swivel eyed nonces running the party.

Davidson has spent the last 6 years pretending not to be a Tory. She has a whole party mechanism which is dedicated to making the people of Scotland think that she has nothing to do with their tainted Westminster leadership.

The mechanism is slick in avoiding difficult questioning, and is superb in affording her the publicity of soundbites.

Given Labour impotence, and the impending swing to the right of the Westminster Tories, the political landscape over the next few years in Scotland is entirely reliant on how effectively Davidson can be protected by this mechanism.

Not just the mechanism, she is actively protected and promoted by the media too.  She was obviously identified a few years ago as the best bet of preventing Scottish self-governance, and all this is to that end.  If she was put under the scrutiny all politicians should be and SNP ones are, she would fall apart immediately as her record and duplicity would be exposed.

Definitely. But she’s doing the job she’s been tasked to do by HQ. As is Mundell. They don’t work for Scotland, they work for the Tory party. And like the rest of that monstrosity the bolts on their strong and stable platform are working loose.

The Tory party has always been a club for the power elite. A convenient cover story to distract from the real mischief-makers in EC1. It’s only a matter of time before it crashes and the shape-shifters will be offski. Riff Raff like Mundell and Davidson will be cast adrift as The Corporation pulls up the drawbridge.
