Groundhop 2019 dates

APRIL 2018

13th-15th - Scottish Hop (Groundhop UK) - dates to be confirmed
Provisional line up:
Fri: Cumbernauld Colts or Mid-Annandale
Sat: Burntisland Shipyard - Heriot Watt University (all ticket match on indoor 3G floodlit pitch) - Lothian Thistle HV v Tynecastle
Sun: Peebles Rovers
If Cowdenbeath are relegated they'll be added to Saturday to make a four game day

Are Mid Annandale in East of Scotland League now??

Oh right, wondered why Mid Annandale were only South team mentioned?
Be good if they got involved with the teams in the South League. Good days out in the towns down here in the Shire.


It has been suggested to the League that we should attempt a ground hop and it was just suggested that it was gonna be too hard to achieve

GUK confirm the arrangements of the 4th Scottish Groundhop.

Package price of £43 for 6x admissions + programmes broken down at £7 per game (except Kelty £8: they must usually charge £6?).

Kelty Hearts v Tweedmouth Rangers (1:45pm)

Got underway this evening at a goal epic: Mid Annandale 6-3 Lochmaben before a crowd of 235 - given the lower home support that doesn't look too different to past years. Previous crowds:

A West or East Superleague weekend would have been more interesting imo than the last couple of years mopping up stray LL and EOS grounds, but complete leagues is what these beer-bellied, SLR-toting anoraks seem to want. Mind you the organiser said he approached the Juniors and... wait for it... they weren't interested.

I'm sure I read that they had presented at a West Region meeting and received fairly positive feedback. Maybe it was all to difficult for their fixtures secretary to comprehend.

Maybe you're right. I was told by somebody at Whitehill that the Juniors weren't prepared to stagger kick off times and rearrange fixtures to Sunday.
