I would imagine he'd be leaving. Can't do that and train full time with Ayr.

He has a part time contract.  He doesn't have to train full time...

He should be punted if possible

Agree.  Anyone wishing to remain part time should be free to find a club.

If that's gonna be allowed then it's back to the part/full time model of before and this commitment to full time is bullshit.

He's under contract! Nothing to do with it being allowed. He signed a 2 year part time deal so if he wants to stay PT he can.

Personally I hope we just free him, surely wouldn't cost that much?

What do you mean by allowed? The players under contract (those who haven't signed new deals) are part time.  This is just an unfortunate circumstance of how our squad structure was at the point we moved full time.

It's not like we are being lied to about full time football.  Here's a quote of Mccall's i lifted for a blog. Screenshot_20170524-202953.thumb.jpg.4214fe04b2a5f6843ba6cccabe05384e.jpg

Allowed in the sense of not trying to actively move those on under a part time contract, or having provisions in their contract which could account for a shift to full time. Because Harkins is in the same boat and i don't think anyone wants to see another season of a part time Harkins.

Although McCall did say in his last post match interview that he may try to shift a few still under contract so that may be his intent.

Unlikely to be provisions in their contracts as full time football was unlikely when Gilmour signed.

Its not simple as moving them on there are contracts in place that either need to be bought out or honoured.

im pretty sure Harkins was full time last year too.

Gilmour signed a 2 year deal this time last year, potential full time was at least a thought in the club at this time so it's not inconceivable that there could have been some kind of provision.

Contracts can also be terminated if both parties agree, and may involve some kind of pay out which doesn't have to be for the full amount.

Harkins may have had a full time wage but he wasn't training full time.

Rankin is a coach at hearts but still trains full time with us so it can be done

So was Chris Higgins and he is now with Ayr.

We are talking about evening coaching of schoolkids. Its not going to affect full time players training through the day.

He was brought to the club as a player/coach but he is technically full time. He will be running training sessions but he will be training full time now i'd imagine

If you were Brian Gilmour would you accept a lesser pay off if you didn't have another club to go to?

He's shite, nobody wants him so he'll just bide his time.

the issue here is not that he's not full time it's the fact McCall was daft enough to offer him a 2 year deal last year.

He would get a game for most teams in League One with the exception of us, Raith, Airdrie and Alloa.

He's bad but he's not so bad that he wouldn't get in East Fife or Stranraer's starting eleven.
