Away. It isn’t the referees problem, like a sub not being ready. They will just play on until the sub can be made.

The game was stopped. The 4th official was going to put the board up. The instruction the officials were given was a substitution was about to be made. They should have held play up until it was.

Surely if the board went up and the keeper refused to go, he’d get booked for time-wasting. If he still refused to go, he’d be booked again and sent off.

Never thought that far ahead tbh.

Couldn't understand that in the break between extra time and the penalties the pundits/commentators questioning who would be in goals for Chelsea during the shootout. Surely the players that finish the extra time have to be the players that take part in the shootout?

You can change the keeper but only if the one who finished the game is (and I quote) “unable to continue”.

Not sure there was evidence of that, especially if the player himself was saying he was fit.

Yip, commentators waste televised football - the option to turn them off should always be used when available.

If someone sat beside you at a game and talked utter shite all the way through it you'd soon get them fucking hounded.

Sarri should have walked out the stadium. f**k taking that.

That'd have been one of the most iconic moments in football ever, if he had. Pity he didn't.
