Do I have to buy my own balaclava, or will they send one out? Maybe that’s what the £600k was for - I’ll wait for it to come in the post.

I know I spout some amount of shite, but no, that's not the case. The issue is we're seeing NI politics being imported to here, in the politics of division and its an unhealthy and unwanted undercurrent for the people of Scotland. Popular in these post modern times as we see the politics of division across the western world. The Tories are masters of it. SF and SNP are both cessationists and whilst I see the Nats as socialist, they also have republican influences which probably reduce their vote as opposed to increasing it. The Nats also opened premises in Dublin and cooperate with SF on many issues. We have also seen pre Covid paramilitary marches approved by the Nats run GCC and with banners displaying threats to the local populace. "we haven't gone away" to be precise. This is not NI and no ordinary citizen wants to see that shite. We all know of one pre eminent Nats member with his infamous terrorist supporting rhetoric, for which he should have been sacked. Now until the Nats can divorce themselves from this unsavoury element, they will remain labelled by many and tbh its costing them, particularly when it comes to indy support. I'm not a fan of the indy line, but I rate Sturgeon as Britain's top politician, but some in her party badly let her down and need cut loose if she is to flourish. They both believe that prophecy and speaking in Tongues ended with the Apostles? Edited June 24, 2021 by renton

The_Kincardine
What a week for daft wee Nippy: Admission, at last, that IndyRef2 money was pockled to pay her husband's wages OECD report confirming what we knew that education in Scotland has been systematically dismantled during almost a decade and a half of a Nationalist government. Her new Lord Advocate having to state that she will, in fact, act independently, honest - and thus throwing her predecessor under a bus. Not only overreaching her power with the Manchester travel ban THEN picking a fight with Andy Burnham but THEN briefing against him by leaking a confidential discussion. More embarrassment on the ferry vanity project with news of further delays and additional costs. To cap it off she picks a fight with wee school weans over a daft - but basically harmless - song. No wonder #Long Sturgeon is trending on Twitter.

Now if it had been an SNP minister…

For as long as politics have existed there have been scandal after scandal in respect of politicians sexual exploits. The general public won't give a shiny shit after the initial fuss has died down. Handjob will no doubt reflect on his behaviour over the weekend then resign, all will continue until the next MP sex scandal. Eh? Derek Mackay was immediately mutually consented, deselected and gone in disgrace. You are naive indeed if you think that this in and of itself will precipitate a resignation. These entitled charlatans have no shame and only if it suits them will he be ejected. As for "as long as politics have existed"... There is no need to accept this behaviour and it is one of the drivers that has convinced me that we are can collectively do better.
