Not sure if all junior clubs have an ambition to reach the top of a pyramid, the spfl, with all the costs of travelling, updating grounds etc.As in England it sounds nice but with very little help on committee's etc - too many clubs have folded. Natural progression is win a league and go up but not at the club's expense.

Few clubs will be aiming for the spfl.  It’s really up to clubs how much they spend and where, for some that means getting licenced but not putting much into the first team so unlikely to get promoted. For others it will be trying to sustain a tier 6 side but not being able to do ground upgrades particularly fast, for others it will be trying to get licenced and promoted to LL.

The point of a pyramid isn't just so clubs can reach the top, it's for clubs to find their level. Teams like Dundee United are pushing for a Premiership place, Kelty for an SPFL L2 place and Tynecastle for an EOS Premier place, whilst Tweedmouth will be happy to just stay where they are. All of that is possible in the pyramid.

Natural process is finding your level.

You're not sure if West Calder United or Craigroyston or have the ambition to win the Scottish Premiership (the top of the pyramid)?

Or reach League 2?

I'll go out on a limb and say no, I don't think they do.

The first rung at which their travel would increase compared to now is the Lowland League. It's incredibly unlikely they'd reach that level given the clubs they'd need to get past to do it, but if they did, their travel wouldn't greatly increase anyway.

If they were to make it to national level football, I'd be more concerned about being injured by faeces falling from all the aeronautic pigs.

Hi, I know its been mentioned on here but I cant find the actual message.  Can someone update me on what clubs have applied to join the EOSL  and maybe what teams may be looking to join?  Thanks

  1. Kircaldy & Dysart
  2. Thornton Hibs
  3. Kennoway Star Hearts
  4. Lochgelly Albert
  5. Rosyth

Assumed that Newburgh and Lochore Welfare will apply as the only Fife teams left in the Southern Divisions of the East Region.

Then there's speculation over a non-Fife Junior that has also applied but not announced anything. So right now there might be 6 applications in.

Says sad to be leaving juniors and junior cup is decimated without east teams so if all the big guns go they could play all these teams in south challenge cup

Where have we seen newburgh and luncarty apply?

Haven't seen anything public. Luncarty have been rumoured for a while now, and there's meant to be an existing non-Fife application. It would make sense them not saying anything with the possibility of being rejected. Not to mention all the fuss about boundaries it will cause.
