Pretty much why Syngenta put their application in as well, they had no path way and with the real Clubs around them moving to 20s they jumped onboard, Little Kerse and its suitability for EOS will come to light over the next couple of weeks.

Is AM Soccer (adult) FC considering making an application to join the seniors (again) ?  Now an  SFA Legacy status club, their web site states :

"Our 2019 Membership Survey will close on 19th March - make sure you don't miss the chance to let us know how we can improve our work, and your club going forward."

and

"Our ambition is to be the best non-professional football club in the world. Let's aim there, and see where we end up, rather than staying where we here, where we know where we are."

Interesting times in Fife.

Had a quick check and it came up with this https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/2019amssurvey

Looks like normal Club survey for feedback but nothing on EOS.

Fife is having a bit of a Tsunami regarding the positive way they want to move forward.

I wasn't sure that Fife clubs particularly junior clubs would move rosyth was only one I thought due to geography

Am soccer have pole vaulted through the fife amateurs and currently sit top of the top league.
It's hardly surprising as certainly in the past the coaches they took on were expected to play for said 1st team.
Many of those were kids released from senior teams or even junior players.
The main man himself has obviously graduated himself to a much higher level of football.

Clubs with strong youth set-ups - some with SFA Quality Mark status or Legacy level status - will have difficult choices to make:

  1. Do they continue as they are and allow EOS Senior clubs to siphon off their best talent for Lowland Development U20 League teams? OR
  2. Do they form partnerships as the youth sections of established EOS Senior clubs? OR
  3. Do they go the "whole hog" like Glenrothes Strollers and Syngenta Juveniles and seek to form their own Senior teams in the EOSL?

Sygenta already appear to be "stealing a march" over their rivals with this form of progressive advertising over the last 6 months:

Can Legacy level clubs such as AM Soccer Club afford to be left behind?

It's a bit odd that they make out they will be a status below bo'ness eos when they are applying to an organisation that claims it will be on a level footing.

As we know that's always been a pretty dodgy claim.

The existing Senior club, soon to be Junior club and ambitious Community club are all separate clubs but they all share the goal of playing their football at Newtown Park Bo'ness and coexisting so as to allow local players to progress up the grades.

Three  "separate clubs"  sharing one ground ! Wow - is the playing surface grass or synthetic ?

Fixture scheduling could be fun !

currently grass but will be converted to synthetic during the close season. Work was supposed to start last year but there was issues relating to a mineshaft iirc.

A 3G surface at Newtown Park (Bo’Ness EOS) is imminent. Will be down for next season.

Is the arrival of a new Bo'ness juniors team at Newton Park something Bo'ness could prevent even if they wanted to? I'd assume a condition of the grants for the ground works and of the new ownership of the park would suggest not.

What is it about Little Kerse that concerns people?

I didn't think there was any criteria for EoS other than having a pitch which is the right size?

https://www.eosfl.com/downloads/eosfl/EoSFL-Entry-Criteria-2018.docx

The first point is one which might get them... " Enclosed self-contained ground such that admission can be controlled and charged for. The ‘football ground’ must give an overall appearance and impression of being a football ground. It is a matter for the Office Bearers/Board to determine whether a ground meets this requirement"

Failing that, point seven: " Separate dedicated changing facilities for two teams with seating and clothes hanging facilities for up to twenty two within the ground enclosure and immediately adjacent to the pitch"
