Why? The rest of us have to spend on our grounds before we got in or to stay in. They should be no different, come back when you’ve got a suitable ground. Until then it should be thanks but no thanks

The office bearers/board can offer a period of grace for clubs to meet the entry criteria. Tweedmouth is a club that has been mentioned as having had some time to improve their facilities. And who is "the rest of us" and "our grounds" you're referring to?

Aren't Bo'ness supposed to be moving there whilst Newtown has it's 3g installed?
The word on the terraces on Saturday was that it had been ruled out, as had Grangemouth stadium and the BU's were looking at using an ex-junior ground for their home fixtures during the Newtown Park development.

Anyone who has a ground who meets criteria, was not having a go at any current club, however why would you take a new club who clearly can’t meet the criteria.

Looked on Google maps earlier.thought it might be a few years old.how have they improved the ground.pruned the trees ?

When we visited at the start of the season, players got changed in the main stand at Shielfield and walked round the track to the pitch. Only thing they had at the ground was a newly installed pie hut.   I believe now they are installing portable buildings behind the goal for changing rooms and hospitality, new fencing also gone in.

They were supposed to be sharing with Berwick Rangers this season but that fell through, so they had to try and improve Old Shielfield to meet EoS requirements and it looks like they are doing a good job.  Good luck to them.

Glenrothes joining EOS league, prepare for a lot of new posters joining Pie and Bovril.

Obviously when I mean a few it will be the same guy under different user names. ;)

Given the juxta-position of Kennoway Star Hearts and Glenrothes Juniors and Glenrothes Strollers, I cannot see Kennoway staying in the ERJFA as their best youth players will migrate to the Glenrothes clubs in order to reach the pinnacle of youth development - the Lowlands Development U20 League

It is not a very nice feeling to spend a decade developing young players only to see them move as a unit to a neighbouring club once they reach 18/19 years.

To be fair to the likes of Glenrothes Strollers they've been going a lot longer as a set up and have a far better pedigree than Kennoway Star Hearts. Kennoway don't seem to have any teams above u-16 at the moment either.

Agreed.  But there is a real danger of being left behind.

Would it make sense for Glenrothes Juniors to be talking  to the likes of Glenrothes Athletic about a partnership - i.e. their 19s moving on to the Glenrothes Development side?

I see Dundonald have got in first!

According to their Facebook page, Glenrothes Strollers AFC have submitted an application to join the East of Scotland League for next season.

Current members of the Kingdom of Fife (Amateur) League, the Strollers own their own ground at Overstenton Park, and their  club  photos show that they have an excellent pavilion built in 2016. The Strollers are an "SFA Legacy Club", with boy and girl youth teams, and the club's adult team should meet the EoS entry criteria.
