It is according to the traditional county boundaries.

It was up until 1975, but no longer.  So from the current boundaries we're the first since 1931, but pre-WWII will suit just as well, it was a long time ago 8)

He has a point though they would have been a West Lothian team when they were in the EOSL.

He has indeed, current boundaries 1931, old boundaries 1939.   All a long time ago which was the underlying point.

Tbf, Tweedmouth were supposed to be installing a portacabin type pavilion during last season (there was talk of it getting craned in from the depot behind the timber yard), but it fell through.

Sounds dangerous.

The re-organisation of Local Government in 1975 gave us  the failed Regions and District set up.   .that   has since been re-organised again into 32 new administrative Local government  areas roughly on County lines.....but the old Parish county boundary has not changed only the postal districts...pedantic I know but Bo.ness hasn't moved. it is still a West Lothian town...If we really want to go back it was in Linlithgowshire   in the 1800/early 1900,s......as  Midothian was part of Edinburghshire..and with the current sprawl of housebuilding it will be back there in the next five years...Difficult time for re-organising football.

It's not a West Lothian town, just like West Calder is no longer a Midlothian town!  ever wish you hadn't mentioned it..........

Rumour alert!

Heard tonight that the second Amateur team is Musselburgh Windsor.  Was most surprised until I remembered that they applied last year and were rejected.  They were sent away with a list of reasons as to the rejection.

Windsor are an ambitious boys club trying very hard to get new clubrooms and facilities at Pinkie.  THis might be a method to achieve that

Or maybe they've made the changes?

Or its rubbish :-)

Easthouses lily have a cheek to apply. They packed their bags and left, now they running back with tails hanging. Jokers
It's the same as changing lanes on the motorway. When Easthouses left, the future of the EOS league didn't look great, now things are changing so they've reapplied. Nothing wrong with that.

Nope.  The windsor.  The boys club that play at pinkie.  Moving the 19s to u20 league and forming an EOS team from scratch (should they be successful)

Again, if the rumour is correct

Not to say that Musselburgh athletic have also not applied.  I know nothing about them.  My informant was definitely talking about the Windsor.

IMO That’s a bit unfair on Lily, at the time it was the right decision to leave and now it’s the right decision to come back, nothing wrong with that. Everyone wants what’s best for their clubs

It would be surprising given that Musselburgh Athletic are reportedly joining, would make more sense for Windsor to hook up with them in order to field an U20 team.

Logic in the minds of a football committee?

Obviously it makes much more sense that the windsor become a feeder for the athletic.  However for that to happen, I reckon the athletic would have to change its name to windsor!

The "possible application" is all part of the long term windsor plan to get its own club rooms and facilities.  Windsor, despite being a boys club, are probably a bigger outfit than the athletic.   Junior team dont really engage with anyone else, and to be fair, neither do the windsor.  Very much in it for themselves, which they are perfectly entitled to do!

The fund raising they have already carried out has raised well over five figures towards new facilities.  The Council are very much involved in assisting but are having difficulty in committing funds to a boys club.  An EOS team, might just be the spark to unlock the purse strings with East lothian council!

However, as I said, could all be shite.

Surprising if true, but it would make for an interesting rivalry local with Musselburgh Athletic.

However, if there are only 2 Amateur applicants, and Inverkeithing HS have publicly admitted applying, then St Bernards application must be incorrect ?  It also rules out Soccer AM (Fife).

Or are there more than 2 amateur club applicants ? If so,  it brings into question the (rumoured) number, and/or existing  status (amateur or junior) of the  15 new EoS applicants overall.

The only certainty we have is that we will not know the list until the EoS AGM at the end of this month. If other applicants wanted to go public beforehand, we'd have heard from them by now.

It's AM Soccer.  You're thinking of the Sky Sports programme...
