Electoral Calculus found the SNP would win 71 seats in the Scottish parliament – six more than the 65 needed to win a majority

Scottish Tories would be the next biggest party in Scotland with 24

Labour came in third with 19 seats

48 percent of Scots would vote yes.

Just 44 percent thought Scotland should remain in the Union and voted no.

The remaining eight percent were undecided

If Salmond gets in he'll spend every waking minute trying to hive off SNP MPs, MSPs, councillors and staff in order to attempt to usurp the SNP.

Don’t think that’s a worry.  Few women will vote for him and insufficient pervy guys.

Absolutely no danger.

I'll be very surprised if he gets any funding to get his party off the ground.

Well I hope you're right. Just think it's worth remembering Salmond looks at Sturgeon like Trump looked at Obama.

Yeah, that's the only answer I can come up with.

The man's gone down massively in my estimation. You wonder if he's lost his mind, or if it was always just all about him.

I don't think you need to invoke insanity to explain a powerful man abusing his position and throwing the kitchen sink at people he perceives to be occupying his rightful place.

Andrew Cuomo's doing the same thing in the states just now.

Remember he's got a couple of seasoned grifters onside.

He’s already had a load of dafties crowdfunding him, that, and a shed load of hard working taxpayer’s money off the back of the shambolic court case. He’s going nowhere, not least until he’s finished with Sturgeon.

I believe he said during his press conference/party launch, he hoped donations would come in when the people of Scotland learned of his plans to hoover up list votes. I just can't see that happening given that the polls are showing him, not surprisingly, to be less popular than Boris Johnson.

How much money do you actually need to contest a list vote, six weeks before election day in a campaign where there'll be restricted canvassing anyway? It's not the United States; their performance will depend entirely on their popularity rather than fundraising.
