In the event of a hung parliament surely no party could go into coalition with the Tories after this last week , electoral suicide for the lib Dems in 2010

The Lib Dems would go into coalition with the reanimated corpse of Hitler on the off-chance it would get them some post-politics jobs on the board of Butlins.

Thankfully the chances of anyone needing an extra two or three seats in 2024 are slim.

End of SNP still not quite imminent.

Various things come to mind looking at these figures.

1. Johnson is a dead man walking.  He will be gone early in the new year.

2. Whoever takes over as PM has a huge job on their hands.  Nothing can be taken for granted.

3. Starmer may think that his ‘do nothing and wait for the other side to implode’ strategy is working but it will be wholly dependent upon how good or bad a job Johnson’s replacement does.

Boris just needs to send everyone an invite for an "exclusive" party after new year. Rent a field somewhere and cover it with Union Flegs. Right as rain.

If he can't swing that, they'll be riding high again as soon as Liz Truss gets into No. 10.

Yep, a Truss leadership would boost the poll ratings for sure.

Sunday Mail has SNP: 48 (-3), Labour 22 (+5), Tories: 17 (-4) and LDs 7 (+2)

Changes are from Opiniums last poll in September.

Due to FTFP, that would put the SNP up to 56 seats in Scotland and Tories on 0.

Polling was 15th to 22nd Dec.

I can’t imagine anyone on here has even heard of Andrew Watson.

The uncomfortable reality of Mark Walter’s arrival was, that it exposed the fans of other clubs as being as intolerant as the Rangers fans. A fact no doubt overlooked by those cited in Murdo Fraser’s article.

f**k me. I've even heard of him and I fucling can't stand and have no Internet in the majority of scottish football, past and present.

Eta. I find it highly unlikely that a scottish football journalist has never heard of the boy.

Yet more bad news for Johnson.

Starmer’s strategy of doing nothing appears to be working but he’s still an uninspiring c**t and would be a bland do nothing PM.

Savanta ComRes have a poll out:

Indy up slightly back to 50/50 from October. SNP polling for Holyrood is virtually static over the same time period at 47/38 consituency/region, in spite of the noise around Covid restrictions.

Was wondering why we hadn't had any polling recently on indyref so went  looking for the most recent. not exactly great reading.

Boris the buffoon mired in Partygate and the Pishy Rishi's NI increase and rising cost of living yet we're still not polling anywhere near the numbers we'd need to win a referendum.

How would you vote in a Scottish independence referendum if held now? (asked after the EU referendum) - What Scotland Thinks

Yeah must be really hard for independence supporters to take. All the things that were meant to send support for indy soaring have happened. Brexit finalised, Boris as PM, numerous Westminster scandals YET STILL behind in all the polls.

It's just not happening for you guys, is it?
