Not sure tbh - it is just a cage just now and also owned by North Lanarkshire Council going by signage. The picture suggests buildings are going inside the perimeter, whereas the changing rooms just now are outwith, They've never been about people watching them so moving from Annan may not be connected to this?
FairWeatherFan
There's another pic from a game they held last night By calling it their home ground for the 2019-20 season they must be trying to get up to standard for licensing. Looks like it, as they applied for planning permission to add dugouts and two seated stands - doubt they are just for their U20s to use. There's also a building warrant for the pavilion - "Alteration to Changing Pavilion - Reconfiguration of Layout and Provision of Accessible Facilities".
FairWeatherFan
So it's been pointed out in the Berwick Rangers thread that the Glasgow United plan has been scrapped. This was from the 15th April and the deadline to vote was noted as tomorrow (April 16th), so presumably we'll find out the new name soon. The choices listed in the video are: Alliance FC Black Falcons Caledonian Braves Copa FC Edusport Eagles Edusport Pheonix* FC Tribe FC Spero Pheonix FC* Lanarkshire Lynx Mondial FC Sporting Union FC FC Venom Not sure if there was also a write in option, but i'm guessing that's how they got come of those names in the first place. *That's how the video spells Phoenix.

GNU_Linux
to repeat my shite joke Hamilton Educational or bust. Those names though are chronic and feel like something out of American Sports. Lanarkshire Lynx is the one that'd be the best move as it has geography in it therefore helps in attracting a supporter base.

AlansHotBath
Some delightfully embarrassing stuff in there. FC Venom sounds like a team of football playing baddies from a kids cartoon. Personally I'd go for the one that's misspelled. Has there been any word from someone who bought shares in the club on how fucking stupid this whole thing is? Very few teams have their own transport ?

cmontheloknow
And the students are paying a lot of cash to come over too! But on the names, they are abysmal and shouldn't be seen outside of a sunday league pub set-up.
stanley
They need to just go for a proper football club name and definitely with the local area incorporated into the name. Not helping themselves with ridiculous names.
Sergeant Wilson
The idea behind the club isn't necessarily bad, but it might have been more successful and better received if they had been a partner with an established club. The name wouldn't be an issue then.
Marshmallo
Jamie Robson has apparently signed a pre-contract with FC Venom.

Replays
I’d love to see an FC Venom in the LL next season!
Spyro
As horrific as they all sound to us, the old skool, we have all had our doubts (digs) at their lack of support and presence as a club. So why not go for a cheesy/catchy name to attract new support, even if it is all just a marketing gimmick...as long as it puts a few bums on seats, extra pennies and a sense of belonging for them. It might all go tits up, but don’t knock them for doing something different, they might be on to something! Spyro
From the Berwick thread... “Although they're going to be at Bothwellhaugh Park, they could be inspired by nearby Chatelherault in tribute to their origins!” On this subject, does anyone actually know who the last team to play at Bothwellhaugh? There is a “football ground” marked in old maps but no mention of who... I'm thinking maybe the Palace Colliery team... maybe Bellshill at some point (Douglas Park?)
