I'll tell you about the game, Bsc pumped a right poor whitehill team for the second time this season because Bsc have better players not because they play in Alloa, not because they don't have a big fan base, because they are better than whitehill welfare

A bit of topic but is there any progress on BSC getting a ground back in the city?

Answer the Cowden question please and

What's the difference between the BSC team that won at Rosewell and the BSC team today then.....

That is not how it works. There is only one regular relegation spot from the Lowland League. Preston get relegated, and the winner of the SOS and the winner of the EOS meet in a qualification. But only if both are licensed. If only one is licensed, they go up. If none are licensed, none go up.

Selkirk only gets relegated if Buckie win the SPLF2/HL/LL playoff. That's because then both East Kilbride and the bottom team in the SPLF2 will play in the Lowland League next season.

BSC are tirelessly working to get their own ground, and not resting on their laurels. However the purchase of land in Glasgow City is not as straightforward as it seems. They are committed to forming a base in Glasgow.

Ah okay. It's a bit complicated. Poor Selkirk having to play the waiting game.

As covered above they have 2 campuses... one based in Glasgow training out of Lesser Hampden and living at Glasgow Caledonian Uni, the other based in Edinburgh training out of Spartans and living at Telford College. Their 'senior' team play in the SOSL out of Galabank but they will be champions and - by the look of it - promoted to LL if they draw at home to St Cuthbert Wanderers tomorrow. Originally they played out of Hamilton Palace. Their U20s already play in the Lowland & EOS U20s League, out of Spartans.

Fundamental core of it is geared toward young Frenchmen with the combination of football training and English language tuition. According to their website fees are £16,000 for next season. Their don't have a womens team - females play for Spartans Ladies.

However I don't suppose you have to be French to participate and they also use a number of Scottish players and some loanees in presumably to 'stiffen' the side. They also loan players out to other clubs spread right across SPFL (mainly lower-level Development League sides), LL, EOSL and Juniors.

On the pitch they are certainly no mugs. Here are their basic achievements since joining SOSL for 2014-15:

2014-15
* finished 5th in SOSL. They dropped 11pts at home (all in Jul-Sep) and 20pts away (8 in Jul-Sep)
* reached QF of South Challenge Cup, losing 2-1 at Whitehill aet
* won SOS League Cup; lost finals of Cree Lodge and Tweedie cups; reached SF of Potts Cup

2015-16
* finished 2nd in SOSL. They dropped 11pts at home (3 in Jul-Sep) and 4pts away (2 in Jul-Sep)
* reached SF of South Challenge Cup, losing 2-0 at home to Edinburgh City, having beaten Dalbeattie and Civil Service Strollers en route
* won SOS League Cup and Tweedie Cup; reached SFs of Southern Counties Cup (having beaten Threave en route)
(U20s)
* finished 4th in Lowland & EOS U20s League
* reached R3 of Scottish Youth Cup, having beaten Dumbarton en route
* reached SFs of LL-EOS U20s Knockout Cup

2016-17
* currently 1st in SOSL with 1 game left. They've a 100% record at home and dropped 10pts away (4 in Jul-Sep) - won every league game since October
* lost to Colville Park after replay in Scottish Cup PR1; reached Last 16 of South Challenge Cup
* reached SFs of Haig Gordon and Cree Lodge cups
(U20s)
* currently bottom of Lowland & EOS U20s League with 4 games left.
* reached R3 of Scottish Youth Cup, having beaten Alloa en route
* reached SFs of LL-EOS U20s League Cup

You might be right HJ but I haven't notice a lot of French females playing for Spartans Ladies- the only French female you might see at one of their games is Emma Hingant!

Nobody was asking about the game.the topic was about the pyramid of Scotland and how teams who will contribute very little in the long term are working there way around rules and regulations....snd without raining on your parade you pumped arguably the worse whitehill team for 30 years...but fill yer boots

I still think it's crazy that they've never had a ground of their own (and possibly have no intention of ever getting one) and they have no real ties to any city or town so they could easily be moving from Annan to the central belt just because they are promoted.  I understand licences for teams with groundshares who actually represent a community but this is a bit ridiculous (same goes for BSC Glasgow playing in Alloa and never having had a ground).

LTHV are stuck in the East of Scotland League despite clearly being above that level, playing in a ground in Edinburgh and they can't get promoted but Edusport can pick any licensed ground around the country (assuming the club who owns the ground will take them).

Glasgow Uni in Aidrie as well...

Edusport are champions, but do the rules allow them to move to a different ground at this late stage ?

Also, it is rumoured that LTHV could be about to get an SFA Entry Licence. Does this entitle them to enter into an EoSL/SoSL promotion playoff - if they finish is EoSL champions this season ? This of course is a big "if", as they would probably need to win their final league game of the season against Leith Athletic.

Selkirk must wait and hope Buckie don't prevail. Waiting game for them.

Is their a set date for when EoS vs SoS play-off should take place, presumably this is when LTHV need to get a license

In a season listing in match programme from an EOSL game I remember it saying May 13th & 20th. Which would be the same as all the other leagues.

However a couple of weeks ago the EOSL etc. was padded-out now ending May 13th with King Cup Final on May 20th according to Wednesday's programme for Edin City v LTHV.

Around the same time the SOSL put a few midweeks in. It actually finished yesterday.
