Agree that Scottish clubs spend way too much on pish from the English lower leagues but not really buying that clubs like Motherwell and Saints could snap up hunners of talent from Eastern European leagues because they'd pay a lot more tbh.

It's just guesswork.

That's not guesswork - that is straightforward economic facts. If you're struggling to grasp how professional sport works then its best that you log off until you've brushed up on the basics.

Well that was fucking dreadful.

The team just looked so fucking slow. Greg Stewart was guff. Stockley has one good touch in him. If he can flick it on, or lay it off first time, he can create, but once he's pressurised he either passes backwards, or loses the ball, usually the latter. Maynard made a bit of a difference when he came on, but he doesn't look sharp at all. Thought GMS looked most likely to create, a couple of stunning touches, before drifting out the game. But that's what GMS does eh. Drifts in and out.

Tansey made a huge difference when he came on. McLean should have been off though, provided nothing defensively and wasn't up to speed going forward. Christie looked ok, but sluggish by his own high standards.

I thought we were ok defensively, the first goal aside. The second, you could see we were pushing high up the pitch. The first we were sitting far to deep. For their left back to be isolated on Stewart is really disappointing, and he should have done better, he sold the jersey there. Lewis shouldn't be racing out of his goal like that, but equally, there should be an outfield player in that position. Someone needed to pressurise him. Noone matching the run into the middle from the goalscorer was disappointing.

Scott Wright looked good when he came on.

As far as the "embarrassment" goes, I'm not embarrassed. These were two pretty equal sides playing out a couple of games of football. I'm disappointed, because we definitely could have won the tie. It wasn't a gimme, but it wasn't a shot to nothing. We weren't out-played, and we didn't dominate. You win some you lose some. McInnes made some errors, the players didn't step up. Nothing about this game calls for an enquiry into the "state of the game".

Oh I'm sorry did Aberdeen fans expect to rip into st johnstones performance in Europe without retaliation?

St Johnstone were QR3 standard a few seasons back and were generally praised by other clubs' fans.................at least we've maintained our glass ceiling at that stage, which is par for the course and no more from the 26th ranked country in Europe.

Going out in QR1 though in the past couple of seasons is back to extreme diddiness for the Perth Saints.   But maybe Wright's proven $hitfest tactics don't work when your fans expect you to attack teams.

The same old same in QR3, same mistakes and same issues. Three very weak goals conceded through sloppiness and individual errors, utterly profligate in front of goal, team freezing away from home and a conservative team that gives away possession too often.

Simply put we can have no complaints about going out, only one team turned up last night. Not much positives can be taken from the game - with Scott Wright's contribution proving the exception to that rule.

Team lined up totally wrongly, on a night where we needed an experienced head, Arnason was left on the bench. For me, he should have started instead of Reynolds who shelled the ball long all night.

Our midfield just never turned up whatsoever. Shinnie at least out some work in and Christie was well marshalled. GMS was poor, Stewart anonymous and Kenny McLean put in a shockingly bad display. He's come back from summer a few KGs overweight and it shows in his form. I don't mean to have a go at one player because the team as a whole was poor, but there's absolutely no excuse to return from summer like that and let it reduce your ability as a footballer. None whatsoever.

Could talk till the cows come home about the goals lost. In reality, we missed the defensive side that Hayes and McGinn developed and brought to us, GMS and Stewart need a lot of work there.

Not a good night on the pitch at all, or in the dugout. Heard differing versions of events off the park so having not been there, it's best not to comment.
