Hearing no action getting taken against Buckie, can't find an official source though

Aye, rules aren't clear enough and need to be redrafted. Good news for football, it was such a petty thing to decide the title.

There will be a few raging armchair Neil Doncasters seething on Fitbanorth though.

If Cove had broken the same rule and got off with it all hell would break loose.

The league committee bottled it big time.

Aye, but Cove have been taking the pish for years.

The Jags were charged with including Murray in contravention of rule 8.9.6 which stated that any player registered with an SPFL or Highland League club whose registration is cancelled with the SFA or is subject to a transfer on or after March 31, cannot play for any other club during the current season.

However, Buckie's interpretation of the rule was that they could recall Murray and were given written and verbal confirmation from the Highland League secretary that they were clear to include him as they were his parent club at the start of the season.

Mr Manson, in a short statement, said: "The matter in hand was given thorough consideration, including hearing submissions from Buckie Thistle Football Club and from Formartine Utd Football Club and it was decided to take no further action.

"In addition the secretary was instructed to develop re-worded drafts towards clarifying the terms of the rule for application in future seasons."

My interpretation is that Murray's specific position wasn't covered with the rules, hence the proposal to reword the rules. Ultimately, given that he didn't play in the match I feel this is a fair outcome.

We'd a problem with pest posters in the past but the sign up policy has eradicated the problem in the main.

Now the worst of them is stuck on here like a loser, speaking to himself.
