Ach, we've put up a good show this season for a plucky wee part time outfit, McCall has transformed us from a boring passionless shitty League One outfit.

We could have went eighth with a win. Simply not good enough, for once McCall needs to give them a fucking rocket. None of this utter pish about the players trying hard and not wanting to slaughter them etc etc.

That was dire stuff. Never seen a team who could be less of a goal threat and less of an aerial threat. They have no clue what to do when they get the ball in the final third, they just look about and pass it sideways or back to the defence.

Harkins is a lazy out of shape disgrace.

Today was the final straw for me, can't defend them anymore or see any hope for finishing 8th or 9th. Effectively they would have to beat at least 2 out of 3 of Utd, Hibs, Morton to have any chance going into the last game.

Wouldn't even want Harkins in league two, diabolical waste of money.

I always thought it was a bizarre signing for Ayr. He's definitely a luxury player and clearly has a touch of class about him. But he'd be very low on my wish list if I was managing a side likely to be involved in a relegation scrap. Just not that kind of player in the slightest.

To think Gary Harkins is 2 years YOUNGER than Dobbie is absolutely embarrassing for Harkins, a fat useless baldy b*****d compare to Dobbie who looked like Maradonna with his second goal.

McCall can make all the excuse he wants, he simply hasn't done enough to make us competitive at this level. Our only tactic today was Fleming punting goal kicks at El Alagui. It was obvious after about 10 minutes the Queens defence were quite comfortable dealing with that.  In fairness to Brian Reid, he got us far closer to survival at this level than McCall has managed.  The depressing thing is that we know our chairman has past form at sticking with a failing manager long beyond the point it seems credible.

Stephen Dobbie was the difference between the sides blah blah blah :)

To be fair, in the end, he was. We were the better side by an absolute mile obviously and were far from a one man team but it was mainly a battle between Dobbie and Fleming for the day. The keeper did well but he was never going to keep them all out. In the end two top quality goals were needed though. Two of his best since the early season Falkirk game when he got two even better for me.

The players tried their best imo. It's McCall that needs the rocket for picking a poor team. The balance was all wrong with too many slow/unfit players and others who don't show up for ninety minutes starting. It was like going back to the start of the season where we looked a yard short all over.

Simply shows that we are a million miles away from a Championship side.

Full time or forget it.

Don't care what anyone says about Dumbarton.

We should have gone full time. No matter how shit your players are, you get to work with them every day. Tactics. Formations. Plan A and plan B. Dead ball routines. See who is up for it every day in training.

Crunch time was close season last year. We were always on a hiding to nothing.

I'd keep McCall. See if he can get us back up but we need to plan for full time in the Championship.

Or even just make sure any loan signings are worthwhile and contribute most games like the Dumbarton ones.

Thats the most one sided game Ive seen for a long time. The first half was reminiscent of the St Mirren game at Palmerston a few weeks ago and, to be honest, it wouldnt have been a surprise if Ayr had scored before half time, other than the fact they didnt create a single chance of note until a long range shot late on when the game was already won.

Defensively we looked really comfortable, although a fair bit of that was down to how poor Ayr were going forward.

It looked. though, like we just werent going to get a break until Dobbie stepped up. The first was great technique to volley home from the edge of the box but the second was bordering on obscene. He picked the ball up in what looked a fairly innocuous position but then just danced round the defenders before prodding the ball home.

A good performance and a good win.
