Willie Johnston, Craig Levein, Ian Porterfield - Lochore Welfare.

John Greig - signed from Whitburn Juniors but never actually played a game. The paperwork meant that Whitburn got £200 from Rangers.

One I forgot about when listing Neilston's senior players was inside forward Jimmy Ayton who signed for Third Lanark just after the war before moving to Leicester City in the fifties.  Jimmy never got as famous as his brother-in-law, Engelbert Humperdinck.

Aye but the thread's been hijacked. Think the OPs point was which players STARTED in Juniors before finding fame at Senior level?
Not about all the has-beens who took a bob or three in their veteran days with the Juniors.

Ian Wallace -Notts Forest

Jim Denny - Rangers

All played for the Whe Ho down the years

Jim Denny finished his career at the Vics. He might have even won the old CDC cup before he retired.

He was at Cambuslang Rangers for a couple of seasons in the late '80's' & was in the team that won the old 'C division' about 1988.
