Just out of interest, how many tickets are there for the Banks o Dee-v-Ayr game? Spain Park only holds about 300 doesn't it?

There was about 200 at the Selkirk game and it felt like there was room for plenty more if needed.

The sooner we get some Junior sides in there, the better.

Would make a refreshing change from sports centres, universities and failed egg chasers.

Banks of Dee showing that they'd be a good addition to the HL also. I always lose track of their quest for that tbh.

The top three sides or so aside, it truly is abysmal in comparison to the HL, never mind League 2.

No its not. Today yes it was poor for the Lowland League.

Remember a Lowland league team got promoted.

In recent head to heads the  Lowland League teams have come out mostly on top.

HJ will likely give us the stats.

In R1 'head-to-heads' LL won 5-3.

Both had 9 clubs in R2.

Last season was 5-1 and LL got 4 more into R2.

Never read too much into 1 tie/1 round/1 season/etc.

Anyway - EK lost 3-4 v SPFL1 opposition, and Spartans (3rd in LL) lost 1-2 v Fraserburgh (2nd in HL).

Hardly "pish" or "abysmal"?

EDIT: Obviously you have to take your hat off to HL today as getting 4 clubs through to R4 is fantastic. However until now the figures since LL was formed are HL = 3 (of which none made R5), LL = 2 (both made R5), Juniors = 3 (1 made R5) and East of Scotland League 1 (didn't make R5). Similar.
