Ayr Utd vs Raith Rovers

Recommended Posts

On one hand you think "surely it's only fair we play with a keeper" and therefore should be postponed. However we made this situation for ourselves by not even having a young keeper on the books and a complete failure in the loan system.

We deserve everything that happens to us tonight because of this!

If this turns into an absolute skelping are Raith in a position to refund any travelling supporters? Although by all accounts I can't imagine many going through considering how it has been lately.

Ayr had one shot on target Saturday, a trend seen throughout the season. Our definition of a skelping would be scoring twice.

To be fair you looked rank when we played you at Broadwood. Surely if there's a lack of keeper it should be a case of shoot on sight? If your players aren't doing anything they possibly can to get a shot anywhere near a flapper for 90 minutes then you really are fucked. It will be interesting to see how this one pans out.

It's funny how I'm more interested in this, the Motherwell situation and the Rangers fiasco at the moment. Deflecting from our own shambolic state perhaps?

Just as a matter of interest how many keepers do other clubs of a similar size to Raith have signed.    If it is true that we have asked for a postponement and it has been refused, then how do the jolly green giants from Glasgow, manage to get a postponement  so they can go and make pots of gold for themselves.

We have three (Martin, Ewings and Brown). And yes, Raith did ask for a postponement. However I believe they did so too late and, with only 1 fit 'keeper for a few weeks, it's an issue which could/should have been addressed a while ago.
