MLS teams have so far lost their first leg games in CONCACAF Champions League, LAFC play Cruz Azul tonight. NYCFC really should have got a draw at "home" in New Jersey, their keeper parried a shot poorly and Tigres scored in the last minute. Few bottles thrown at the Tigres goalie near the end of the game, but considering how much shit the Mexican fans get up I can't see them being punished for it.

Watched the first half of the Club America v Atlanta Utd game, that was enough to see the Mexican side put 3 past Atlanta, second half was scoreless.

I'm planning to watch the first half of the LAFC game tonight, interesting to see how loud those Mexican fans are, maybe even hear the Cruz Azul fans too!

The game last night looked and felt like a bunch of guys had hired out the astroturf for an hour. Not sure if it was just TSN's coverage but there was a giant Adidas logo superimposed in the centre circle for the whole game, looked awful.

Can't wait for the Toronto v DC game at 9am on Sunday....

Must have been. Watched on Sky and it wasn’t there.

NYCFC and Philadelphia has just kicked off.

One of the coaches just shouted “Hey hey, pick someone!” as they were defending a free kick into the box.  Your guys hiring the AstroTurf analogy sounds about right.

I much preferred it when they went with silly names like Whitecaps and Galaxy. They're all FC, City or United these days. Boring as f**k.

We will see what St.Louis goes with. It does not sound like their USL team (St.Louis FC) will be the one to join MLS.

But at least ONE expansion team will not have a generic name. So there's that.

Was just looking on "Expansion of Major League Soccer" on Wikipedia. Sacramento Republic sounds more like it... so long as noone calls them "Republicans", that is.

Would like them to put a Puerto Rico or a Hawaii team in but it doesn't sound like either are being considered.

Assume St Louis will be St Louis United, just to bore everyone.
