Thanks Stevo.

The heilan' coos were taken in 2009 at a kids farm in Stanley, Perthshire.
The manipulated ones were done in photoshop in 2012.
I only did them to see if I could.
I have now forgotten how to do it.

Try and remember Willie. Then you can tell me how you do it:thumsup2

Stevo google 'photoshop pop up effect tutorial'.
There's hundreds of them on youtube.
I did mine in photoshop CS3 but most of them appear to be done in CS6.

These are stunning photos Stevo.
I particularly like the photo of the coos.
They fill the frame and are set in an appropriate backdrop.
The Otter photos are stoatirs.

Have ye tried this type of photograph?

Cheers Wullie. The calf was not long born and still wobbly on its feet. Was good to catch in in the passing.

Like the silhouettes and would like to have a go at that. Just went and bought a D610 as a 2nd camera which is full frame so covered for all angles now. The D500 is great for action/wildlife but restricted due to cropped sensor. Just need to find a good general wide angle lens for landscapes and silhouettes :)

Stevo I could see that.
I was eating my dinner while viewing your pics and I noticed stuff in the photo.
I've got a very vivid imagination hence my dinner ended up in the rubbish bin

Lucky bugger - D500 & D610
I have a D70s + a very old operating system.
I used to have (until last year) an Epson 1290s A3 printer which was the bees knees at the time it was bought.
Unfortunately I only had drivers for XP but the printer expired last year.
There's no way I could afford a modern setup.
These cameras of yours are mega pixels in size and my OS couldn't handle them.
Also photoshop CS3 couldn't handle them either.
Fortunately (as you know) it's no really the better the camera ergo the better the photos cos the guy pressing the button has a say in it as well.
But I'm still jealous :)

Sorry to ruin your dinner mate:lol:

You're spot on. All about the technique. Mate of mine has a lens that cost 8k. No way would I go that far. His photos are good but not 8k good and wouldn't say any better than what I've seen on this thread.

This is a slightly older one, from Autumn 2015 iirc. Loch Clair in Glen Torridon. I used a 16-stopper and fired the shutter for about 16 minutes

I don't normally like shots with little going on in the foreground but the colours came up pretty well here.

I take it the 8k lens is no compatible with your cameras :)
Years ago on another forum a guy commented that I must have a good camera.
I soon telt him  but I also agreed with him.

Here's another silhouette.
It's a jackdaw on lamp-post

I like these 'minimalist' pics.
No background to distract.
One of my favourites with a hint of a shadow.
