I think the way they judge the luck element is based on your position for that week - i.e. if you were the 3rd highest scorer but still lost then that's unlucky, whereas if you were the 2nd lowest scorer then it was probably to be expected (and vice versa for wins obvs). Interestingly, that also means that the luck judgement on a week's match doesn't need to be reciprocal - if one team was unlucky it doesn't mean their opponent was lucky. For example, I lost by just 2 pts to Fidel's Astros the other week but that was just "a little unlucky" on my part as I was only 7th, but his win was rated "lucky" as he was only 6th.
