RussellAnderson Posted March 5, 2017 Share Posted March 5, 2017 Good players: Stockley, Logan, Taylor (touch wood), Considine, Lewis. Poor players: Rooney. Bit of both: Hayes, McLean, Shinnie (barely seen him other than the goal), McGinn, Pawlett. Pawlett's flick ons and hold up play has been reasonably good, but his wing play with the ball on the deck has been poor. Rooney is suffocated when playing against three centre halves. His presence is perhaps giving Stockley more space though, who is better equipped for a physical battle. Lindsay, Keown, Barton and to a lesser extent Devine are very good players, and Osman is exactly the sort of horrible b*****d we've needed in the midfield for ages. Erskine has had some nice touches but I've been disappointed with Edwards. Not a lot offered by Thistle, but always have a threat with Doolan in the box. Nervy second half predicted. Got to love the commentators saying that renovating Pittodrie isn't an option because it would be too small when it looks like the place is half empty for a very winnable cup quarter final.
