I still hold a grudge against that magazine after getting letter of the week and winning a Sonic Water Game that never arrived 😡

I bet you still have the magazine with the letter in it somewhere. Any chance of posting it?

The Mitre Mouldmaster baw.

I got knocked clean out by one one winter around 1988-89.  Playing for my primary school team on a frozen Blairdardie red ash pitch and went for a ball that dropped between me and their keeper.  It was miles in his favour, but I went for it.  He got to it first and blootered it full force off my face.  I reckon with me going full tilt in one direction and the ball going full tilt in the other, the combined force of impact must have been about 800 miles an hour.  I woke up a bit later at the side of the pitch with my nose plastered across my face.

Yes, they were lethal weapons. Did more winter damage than the flu. And that "ping" noise they made when you bounced them on a hard surface - might put that noise in the Heebie Jeebies thread.

I presume this is the serious head injury that caused you to be a Rangers fan?
