also a poor crowd, given the homesters situation and it being the only game on.

Not sure why you would think locals would turn out considering the negative publicity that has surrounded the club over the last couple of weeks and who in their right mind as a neutral is going to Selkirk midweek, especially when their is a full programme of West Junior games that are more attractive than a trip to Selkirk for most central belters.

Further Lowland League Board Statement: Selkirk Football Club

Selkirk Football Club have today informed the Lowland League Board that they are unable to fulfil this weekend’s arranged league fixture with Kelty Hearts at New Central Park. In line with current league regulations, the matter will now be referred to a Disciplinary Panel.

No further statements will be issued until this process has been completed.

Its a sad day for the League with this farce going on and its a shame for the good folk of Selkirk

BUT ,  the unwanted hassle and lets not forget cost to the clubs involved ( ie Kelty hospitality ,staff , ground ,lost revenue etc) cannot continue

Sad but true :shutup

With it being a repeat incident there's got to be some sort of punishment dished out. As with any league that doesn't have a specific rule in place (which i don't believe they do for this), they probably don't want to have something so severe that it could come back to bite them in the future.

If Selkirk really can't guarantee seeing out the season, it's really up to them to step out to save any more games getting cancelled like this.
