Thought the good peeps on this thread might be able to tell me if I've got something right or not.
If Finland lose tonight (they're 2-0 down), they'll have 6 points from the games not including the bottom team. Serbia have played all their games against the other top 3 teams and have 8 points. If we beat Israel we'll have 9 points... am i right in thinking that we'll have a home semi-final (probably against Finland) if we beat Israel?
This is correct as far as I can see.

The playoffs would be against teams from the other group ones

A1: Netherlands/France
B1: Ukraine
C1: Scotland/Israel
D1: Georgia

Scotland/Israel vs Ukraine would be the Semifinal

Of course if any of those teams qualify directly then someone else gets their place so Scotland could face the Czechs or Slovaks if Ukraine qualify and then could get Germany in the playoff final

I don't think you've got that right. You only play-off against teams in your league.

Ta.

A home semi-final and a 50-50 chance of a home final against two other teams in League C has to be by far our best chance of qualifying for Euro 2020.

I am starting to understand the Nations League and is a much better format than meaningless friendlies. But what if for example all group A teams qualify through normal Euro qualification (top 2) which is in my opinion quite likely who then plays off for the group A qualification spot?! Does it go to teams in group B?! Or even if just two in group A don't qualify do they just play off?

Totally agree best way for Scotland to qualify will be to beat Israel then a home semi final game so very big game for us. Or would have to finish second in 5/6 team Euro qualification group.

There are always four in the playoffs. If there aren't enough teams in a given division who haven't qualified automatically, then teams are added from a lower tier. However, group winners will always playoff in their own divisions, they won't be bumped up a division to make up the numbers.

Do away goals count double?

Extra time and silver goal?

Is this pish on telly?
