we'll still beat Dumbarton on Saturday.

St Mirren have been good at beating Dumbarton over the last 2 seasons, right enough. St Mirren's only victory coming in a game where Dumbarton fielded a 4-6-0 and had an overweight Jordan Kirkpatrick as the furthest advanced player.

But you guys have been in good form recently, narrowly losing to Falkirk whilst we were only able to hand Raith their arse on a plate, so your optimism is probably well placed.

So do i... and Dumbarton to be fair.

You won't catch Dumbarton. They're 11 points ahead and will pick up more. Ayr don't look up to much though and could be going into the final few months with 1 striker in their squad. Wouldn't be surprised if you got past them.

We'll never catch Dumbarton 11 points.   I said last week if Ayr have somehow magically beat you that was us finished and still think the same they get 3 points more on us its all over.  still struggle to see how we'll pull 7 points back to be fair.  Dumbarton are flying and we some how have this misplaced confidence that we'll win on Saturday.  Against a team that continually has beaten us recently.

Ayr, Dumbarton and Dunfermline are currently a combined 31 points ahead of St Mirren

Greenock Morton have almost treble their points tally

We have exactly double

Dumbarton have almost double

And Ayr have St Mirren's points tally times one and a half

It looks like we're doing a good job of running tbh.
