Doesn't look to good at St Cuthberts going by the Galloway today. Can't attract players so trying to get young boys in to play now. I remember the times when Kirkcudbright was a big attraction for top players. They days seem gone with Mr Frazer in charge.

Word is on the street that Scott forrester (Buddah) has asked for his release from Newton to take over at Wigtown.

Word on the street is clearly incorrect if you look at Newtons FB page , the lad has signed up for the new Season unless you know something they apparently don't ?

Two very good players but certainly wouldnt say they were better players than milly and scooby. Will they see the season out at saints? Will the manager see the season out? Lets hope they do as it will make for a better and more competitive league

There used to be an old lady who wrote saints a cheque each season but don't know if she still does this? They also get a number of sponsor money from local businesses. Their certainly throwing the money about again but they have had to do this to attract the boys from Stranraer. I'm not insinuating that the Stranraer boys are money grabbers but a financial insentive helps due to the commitment of approx 2 or 3 trips from Stranraer to Kirkcudbright per week. It must be difficult for Saints to compete with Threave and Dalbeattie offering large 'signing on fees' this year.

Its a shame about Wigtown if they are unable to field a team this season as rumoured. Wigtown Sunday league manager (Jamie "Puzzle" Russel) offered the job but has refused it.
