Old Firm Colts in L2

A plan that has the attraction for Cowden of more local derbies and less travelling by putting us in a North League v Brora, Cove, Peterhead and Elgin and puts Kelty in a south league despite being north of Cowdenbeath - must have spent all of 30 seconds on the Lower League thinking here

If it does turn out to have any substance, then presumably Rangers & Celtic would be the two SPFL clubs looking to have their Colts teams in, but assuming an even split of existing SFL clubs & SHFL & SLFL clubs, then that couldn't work as there would be an imbalance in numbers. Think I've thought that through right?

As with Rangers in 2012, if it comes to it, it's the responsibility of every single supporter to make sure we're not trampled on. If the majority of fans threaten to withhold money from clubs until their club actively fights this, then it won't happen. We hold the power here.

I think the fact it appeared in the press shows that the idiot who thought it up couldn’t get anyone to seriously consider it so they leaked it to the press to everyone talking about it in the hope someone takes it seriously.

Any chance the author will own up ? I very much doubt it.

Come the heat death of the universe, there will be people punting it is a perfect opportunity to get the OF youth teams in the senior leagues.

A quicker way to get OF kids in the SPFL would be for their clubs to play them.

Seems to be confirmed Rangers are planning on going around League One/Two sides again, offering financial incentives if they accept plans to have their Colts inserted into the leagues.

Genuinely struggling to believe even that vile club would try and capitalise on this situation.

For a club who were liquidated not so long ago they don't seem shy on splashing the cash. Hopefully go the same way only for them never to come back this time.
