Old Firm Colts in L2

All of this reminds me of University Challenge and how Oxford and Cambridge are allowed to enter multiple teams simply because they're different 'colleges'. They're either Oxford or they aren't, make up your minds.

As long as they don't come the cūnt in the boat race and finish up with two Oxfords in the final.

And those outside the 24 get lumbered with Celtic and Rangers reserves?

Fair play, they might have hit on a formula that allows the reserves in with the 30 pieces of silver being the expansion of the 2nd tier.

That need not be necessary,  have 2 x 12 team leagues and the remaining 18 teams in division 3 (or div 1 if you prefer) 34 game season plus cup ties and play offs.

Funny how it suits them to admit they're just the one establishment when there's only the one place available and they have to pick from the best.

I don't think you get the point. Championship clubs looking to increase the division agree to support the introduction of reserve teams, in return the Premier League teams support the bigger second tier. Voting structure would allow both.

That wouldn’t get the vote through - if I recall correctly you also need 75% of the 42 clubs = 32

Fair enough, but it would be a fair chunk of what they need and I'm sure a few more could be bought.

How about raising the standard and numbers of coaches right through every level of the game, how about increasing access to high quality (free) football facilities for every child in Scotland, how about using the excellent development loan system and then how about Rangers and Celtic (because this is their baby) actually trusting youngsters to play in the first team? How that tit McCart can complain about people rejecting the colts pish when his club are trying to give Izaguirre a new 1 year deal rather than let a homegrown player be back up left back is beyond me.

The reason we’re doing none of the above by the way is because it costs money (and of course on the final point the OF are so fixated on 10 in a row/Going for 55 that medium to long term thinking goes out the window), Colts is a cheap way of pretending to do something radical for the good of Scottish football and even that’s a very generous assessment.

Apparently ICT are keen for just playing the teamswho doesn't have a game in friendlies.  Seems reasonable enough.

I'm very against our Colts joining the HL.

The Netherlands look to be implementing a Gentlemens agreement on youth players, stating that any club with an "elite" academy will not sign youth players from the rest.  Designed to stop Ajax/PSV hoovering up all young talent, giving other clubs the chance to develop good young players and potentially sell them on for good money. A progressive country getting together and coming to agreement and giving it time to work or fail.

What do we have here? Two teams frantically putting a new frock on the same old whore and sending her round the country in the hope someone will fling it up her, all the while ignoring the constant and unfaltering feedback of "we don't want to shag her m8".

They have also started divvying up European club tournament cash to even out the domestic finances as they see a competitive league as being important. You can see Celtic jumping at that one.

Scotland hasn't qualified for a major tournament since the creation of the greed is good SPL in 1998, coincidence or is still the fault of lower division Luddites?.
Forfar, Stenhousemuir, etc etc ..... Self-centred basterts.

Tbh, that only slightly compensates the Dutch league currently being the most unequal league in Europe in terms of how TV money is divided over the clubs.
