NorthernLights Posted December 8, 2016 Share Posted December 8, 2016 Since Stranraer knocked East Kilbride out of the Scottish Cup it means our wait for a first Scottish Cup tie against a non-league side since 1971 (we played Elgin City who were in the Highland League at the time) continues. I was wondering when the last time each of the 42 current SPFL members played a Scottish Cup tie against a non-league side. In 1899-00 Motherwell played non-league clubs Carfin Emmet and Kilbarchan in the Scottish Qualifying Cup, and Forfar Athletic in the Scottish Cup. Dundee Utd also drew non-league in University of Stirling which leaves St Johnstone as the oddity. (They aren't across all competitions as met Kelty of LL in 2020-21 LC groupstage).
