I hope very much that he does chose skilled advisors in Government, hopefully not the ones who successfully took him through the campaign. I'm more worried about how easily he could be manipulated by the wrong ones, having it would seem no core values apart from getting richer and building monuments to himself. I agree he had the ability to choose the right people for his business, especially his tax accountant, but did he ignore advice from them went he went on his monumentally insane casino building phase in Atlantic City? I fear the only military advice he will take will be from his pet General who seems to have convinced him it would have been possible to take Mosul in a surprise attack overnight. I'm not convinced his business is worth billions by the way, I'd imagine it's heavily leveraged, thus refusing to release his tax records, a juicy scandal would be loans from Moscow banks.

The (more than) rumoured cabinet is frightening.  Newt Gingrich as Secretary of State?  Chris Christie, Rudy Giulliani...  he's going with the savage right.

Outstanding tears and snotters of delusion, hatred, and envy in here from people who truly believe a man who has built and rebuilt businesses, won an election against the almost entirety of the media and both parties and a paid Wall Street, engaged in repeated high-level negotiations over that period including beating the absolute piss out of The Mighty Alex Salmond & Co, is going to dictate every point of policy from an ego standpoint without surrounding himself with experts and advisors as he has done for the last 40 years, and has literally no credentials or relevant skills for the job.

MSM brainwashed halfwits[emoji38]

The tears and snotters are embarrassing. The social media 'all about me' has a lot to answer for.

But your admiration for this man says a lot. He was handed a fortune. He fucked it right up but blustered through with absolute bullshit. His ability to con people is hardly something we should be applauding.

You'd have to be a fool to predict what Trump will do as President, given everything that's happened.

Here are my predictions

- He'll only serve one term, and will stand down at the next election

- He won't build a wall or ban Muslims from the US

- He will make funding big infrastructure projects a main part of his Presidency.  Some of them might even get built.

- He'll be uninterested in foreign policy in general.

- His plan to fight ISIS will be pretty much the same as the current plan.

What's your point, caller?  Was there anything in my post that related to Scotland or are you trying to prove that Scotland is "as bad as" the US?

No the point being made was that the picture you posted could have almost been any country in the world.  So what was your point?

I hope Vice President Pence is half decent- he'll be in charge once they find the Donald lying drooling in his office after a stroke/apoplexy. Unfortunately he looks like Frank Drebbin from the Naked Gun..

You make that sound like a bad thing.

Pre-election predictions were that a Trump win would see the S&P 500 fall by 10-15%.

It finished yesterday up.  Hmmm.

It's not a surprise, I think you could copy & paste all the predictions from the indyref to brexit to the US election and nobody would notice the difference, we're showing so much concern for happenings in American while at the same time quite happily allowing May & Co to decide if and when the UK decide to uphold a vote made by the people with the democratic endorsement of parliament.
