Adamski
Assuming that he emerges from this able to stand in the election, I wonder if all this will help his chances of winning. Not really from a direct sympathy point of view, but if he’s incapacitated for a while, not tweeting, not making incendiary comments, etc then the motivation to get rid of him might not be as strong among independents - ie not voting rather than voting for Biden.
ICTJohnboy
Given the fact that 44 Million Americans do not have any health insurance, combined with Trump's oft repeated claims that he will make America great again, kind of begs the question as to who exactly will it be great for?

At this point, it's hard for even low-information voters to be genuinely independent. As is usually the case, the independents will lean Democratic. But your point about not voting is a good one. If the Bernie Bros don't vote, then they deserve everything they get, and I speak very much from the natural Bernie camp there. Of course, if the Democratic centrists can't muster a turnout sufficient by themselves, they too deserve a Trump second term.

Indeed. The Swamp. Trump has nothing but contempt for the people who vote for him, and is every bit in bed with the military complex his apologists claim to oppose.

And are Americans so gullible that they would vote for the c**t for a 2nd term? (assuming of course, he survives this minor flu like virus he seems to have picked up)

I thought he'd made America great again? That's the line they seem to be going with at the rallies. They're on to "Keep America Great Again" now. Apparently the job's done. I guess the job was emboldening racists, continuing the journey towards fascism, and getting it right up anyone who thinks those aren't good things. He's certainly done nothing else, other than feather his own nest.

First thing Trump will do if he gets his girl on the Supreme Court is make another 18 million uninsured by having the Affordable Care Act declared illegal.

The troubles we are seeing now, on his watch, are Biden’s fault and only Trumpy can stop them. Or so it goes.
O'Kelly Isley III
I'm getting the feeling we've reached Peak Trump. This Covid scare will have weakened him physically and mentally and that will in turn will blunt the only campaigning tool he has, energetic lying bombast, especially in person before his supporters. I expect his appearances to be become limited with the GOP hierarchy beginning to peddle a heavy mix of patriotism, law and order and foreign bogeymen to try and get a result. The succession planning will be well under way.

To me, from this distance, there seems to be very little of Bernie's views and principles in the Biden campaign. Biden is a Mr Vanilla. About the only good thing about voting for Biden is that he isn't Trump.

But that’s more than reason enough to vote for him.

He's explicitly done his best to distance himself from Bernie and pretty much everything he was standing for. No matter what he stands for himself, Biden's had to do that to avoid the foul taint of Socialism, which is probably tied right in with drinking the blood of agonised children in the confused minds of right-leaning Americans these days.
Granny Danger
Trump’s oxygen levels have fallen twice, he’s on a strong cocktail of drugs and yet they may discharge him from hospital tomorrow. Trump’s people are desperate to project normality. His next public appearance will look something like this.

Might’ve been Pence on the call that Lincoln Project intercepted.
Mark Connolly
A mate of mine is due to play at Trump Aberdeen next weekend. He has promised to furnish me with a photo of the flags at half mast if need be.

D Angelo Barksdale
I can't get too excited. I was stung badly by Johnson and Bolsonaro, both a massive let down. Can't afford to have my heart broken a third time. He'll live.
