what are your criteria then for the 7 you mentioned?

Just people that i have noticed being outspoken on issues. AOC (although i have doubts), Omar, Tlaib, Khanna, Jayapal, Barbara Lee (the only Dem that voted against the War Powers Act). I don't follow it closely enough to know exactly but it's a very small proportion.

Over here only 18 Labour MPs voted against the War Crimes bill which meant that about 20 of the Socialist Campaign Group abstained. A lot of politicians use these sort of groups for branding but when push comes to shove they will toe the corporate/imperialist line.

Just seems strange if it's such a small group that they attract such a strong response from both republicans and centrist/right democrats.

For the Pelosi/Schumer type Dems the left highlight how shite they are and the primary system makes them a minor nuisance in terms of taking establishment figures like Engels out of Congress.

For the right it's just a good excuse to be all out racist against Omar or Tlaib or bleat about Marxism.

Compare that to some of the foreign policy disasters under the Bushes and raegan.

Trump could've been worse.

Whilst not disagreeing with the literal nature of your offering, it surely cannot be denied that he has debased every area he has thrust his hand into.

Ann Teefa!  Hohoho!

It’s almost as if these people are proud of their stupidity.  The confidence of “found this on facebook” is akin to conspiracy theorists referring to themselves as “researchers”.

I reckon Biden is going to win.  I also reckon it’s 50/50 that the Democrats will take the Senate, even if it’s only with Harris’ casting vote.

I can see Trump trying everything, including the SC to resist/overturn this and I see the GOP throwing their weight behind him; it could get messy.

Regardless of the outcome the USA is going to to be a polarised political quagmire for at least the next decade.  There are no honourable Republicans left, they have bought into Trump’s populism.  I can genuinely see a civil war type situation happening in parts of the States.  It’s a frightening prospect.

Ever the optimist, G D.

Slightly concerned about the old boy TBH. He must have brought up armed insurrection about a dozen times in connection to IndyRef2.

If the news starts showing Bin Laden style radicalisation videos from a cave somewhere in Angus, Div can expect a visit from the spooks.

Genuinely not trying to be pessimistic or alarmist.  I am not a fan of the USA but I certainly do not want to see any more blood on the streets.

Separate issues Dave.  There’s going to be another ‘Proud Boys’ rally this weekend.  There’s an element of Trump supporters looking for a fight.  Trump is stoking the flames as he genuinely does not give a flying fùck about what he leaves behind.

I agree with him, history shows the conditions are absolutely ripe for a civil war. We're talking about a country in which the citizens own more guns than the army. They're only a few tit-for-tat acts of serious violence away from it going to another level.

Anyway, what I came here for - the polling is very strong and consistent in the battleground states, but Biden is still at 5/6. Am I just being a pussy in not piling on?
