Saying some Israelis taking photos after the planes hit the towers, like just about every other person in New York, is relevant to anything, is absurd. Loads of Israelis choose low level Mossad jobs for military service, mainly menial stuff but you get to work in places like the NY consulate. This is one of lamest conspiracy theories I've heard. What sinister thing were they supposed to be involved in?

Watching this underlines exactly why Trump went for Obama policies. Not because they were good or bad, but because he had absolutely and mercilessly ruined the guy publicly and he wanted revenge. His anti Obama bullshit is a personal vandetta not some political or financial agenda.

Btw I wasn't throwing out a conspiracy about them, I was in the US a years after it and I recall one of those news specials on ABC I think, covering it , and the main point of outrage was that there was evidence that they were laughing and talking selfies while watching it.

If anyone wonders, like I did, if camera phones existed in September 2001, the first camera phone was released in Japan in Nov 2000 but it was a flop and was never sold overseas. The first popular camera phone was released in early 2002 by Nokia - the 7650. 

Ahh I remember those more innocent days of phones holding 20 contacts and 20 messages and proper cameras needing to be carried everywhere and people jumping out of buildings on fire.

Thing is though, we are now entering the most dangerous time of his short presidency. GOP will lose the House and will come closer to losing the Senate in November. Without that full backing for his mental policies, he will start lashing out and causing no end of damage with the limited power that he has left.

He will be out by 2020, of that there is no doubt. There simply isn't the numbers to sustain him and those numbers are lessening as time goes on. Even a backlash from a "blue wave" during the midterms won't save him or the claim that these up coming elections are a vote on his mandate.

I also don't think he will be impeached. It's a very long drawn out process and needs a lot of support in both House and Senate and even a big win for the Democrats in the midterms won't offer that option. Sure they can put forward legislation but it won't come to fruition.

No, the best course of action is to wait until he is papped out of office, and as soon as he is a civilian Mueller lands all the punches he has, brings him to court and while he won't go to jail his legacy will be utterly tarnished (not to his base but nothing will stop their intentional lotus eating upon his dethroning) and he will not be able to use the presidential pardon in order to get himself or his cronies out of the mess he's made.

I live in the US and I'm constantly horrified by how much support he stills seems to have from  the general populace.   Of course, I could just be mixing with a bunch of crazed right wingers but I don't think so.  Trump seems to be getting them to associate him with their  country's status, so the world laughing at Trump = a bad thing in their eyes.

I cannot recall Trump having a one-to-one interview with a serious commentator since he took office.

The idea of having to answer tough question on the economy, crime, immigration, foreign policy or anything else would scare him shitless.  He genuinely does not understand any of it.

George W was almost as bad and I didn’t think I would see any worse POTUS in my lifetime, but Trump makes W look like a genius.

The numbers just don't stack up. Trump won because he wasn't Clinton, people outside America seem to not get that - she was hated even by some democrats. To us Trump is a vile hateful man, to a large percentage, albeit a minority, of the US population he isn't. Clinton lost because of the way the DNC fucked over Bernie. Now it's questionable if Bernie would have won against Trump but that's not a debate worth having now.

It should be said that what we call "shy tories" in the UK don't get the correct representation in polls so you have to be very careful when using them but if you drill down to the granularity, there is no way his numbers hold up. For example, and even allowing for shy tories, his popularity amongst every single sector of society other than white Christian males has dropped by a percentage beyond the error margin of most polls.

I think definitely they will lose the house, that I think is almost guaranteed. Even some of Trumps supporters want the so called "checks and balances" on their man.

If the Democrats run in 2020 with a male candidate on a centrist platform (and that's a US centrist not a UK centrist) the numbers show Trump will suffer considerable losses all over the board. It's crazy but in America, (in general) women hate women in politics, it's so weird.

I think 2016 was the time Saunders could have won as the US electorate were in an anti-establishment mood.  I think that will have dissipated by 2020 thanks to the antics of the orange clown.

Whilst I think the Dem candidate will be more “mainstrram” I hope to hell its not simply another staid Democrat establishment figure.

I don't think there's any conspiracy theory?..unlike everybody else in NY that day, They  were arrested !

And no one is suggesting anything sinister?

The reason I raised it was at time as I recall it, Trump (I think) said amongst other crap there were 'middle East men' caught in NY celebrating when it happened...When it turned out to be be 5 Israelis who were arrested for acting suspicious whilst watching it- Laughing,taking pictures etc.

He admitted to sacking Comey because of that Russia thing.
Probably obstruction of justice.

Fox New and Trump is nothing but a narcissistic circle jerk.

Trump watches some bullshit on Fox, which was ripped from Breitbart or Infowars, Trump then rails about it on Twitter, Fox then reports on Trump complaining about it. Now that it's gone full circle, and the actual origin story has been lost as has any ability to counter it. Fox claims it's valid because Trump said it, Trump says it's valid because Fox said it.

This was ably demonstrated with the Britain First re-tweets. He never apologised for those, he said to Piers Morgan (Oh, I know..) that he would apologise if Morgan wanted him to, Morgan never pressed him on it, and his base now claim that it was all just people losing their shit and that he did apologise. As for the BF tweets Sanders (the press gimp) said that it doesn't matter whether it was true or not, he was merely addressing something that happens. Despite it not happening and the BF tweets being exposed as lies.

I can't believe people are still entertaining the possibility that America would have elected a self-professed socialist to the presidency. Bernie Sanders would have been as well admitting he had a predilection for young boys.
