I don’t see any benefit to Bernie having Tulsi as his running mate. Most of her hog base will fall in line if he wins the nomination. I would’ve guessed Warren if she hadn’t tried to stab him in the back with a plastic spoon.

Her whole decorated soldier angle would put Trumps nationalistic tubthumping at a peep and she would appeal to those conservative democraats who worry they would be voting in a pinko commie in Bernie

Gabbard? She's a progressive, not Republican lite and been attacked by Clinton herself.
I actually think if Bernie somehow manages to win the nomination, she (Gabbard) be his running mate.

Have you seen her voting record? Or her views on homosexuality, or Assad? She’s anything but progressive.

Don't believe everything Megan McCain or CNN says.

Her views on homosexuality have changed since she w teenager within a strict Religious upbringing and she's actually been commended by LGBT Groups for evolving as a person and subsequently supporting LGBT rights.

Regarding Assad, she met with him. That doesn't mean she supports him. She's advocating diplomacy as opposed to conflict. US Forces are currently supporting and training ISIS! Who's the good guys there?!

So she didn't support the impeachment vote in the Trump show trial? Russiagate and Ukrainegate are just one big distraction. There's plenty of ways to impeach Trump but the Corporate Dems are complicit in those crimes. See Biden at the CFR or Pelosi in supporting Bush's torture and rendition program....that's before getting to Obama!

Anyway, she's not perfect but the very same people and organisations that are attacking and smearing Bernie are attacking and smearing her......that speaks volumes.

Yang today saying that the DNC should allow Fox News to handle a Democratic Party debate to reach more viewers.
Democrats- Yang is a fool. I’m not watching Fox News. Conservatives just should watch CNN.

Suits Bernie who already went on and got a good reception if everyone else wants to hand-wring and leave the lumpen to get radicalised by 4chan.

Joe himself? Nothing much. His show? Gateway drug to the alt right and beyond.

Is that just because he’s interviewed some right wing people?

I listen to it fairly regularly and never got the vibe you’ve mentioned. He interviews a good mix of people, even if some of them are pretty objectionable (Ben Shapiro, for example).

I’ve watched a few Joe Rogan videos with interesting people like Neil deGrasse Tyson and it means you get recommendations like “Jordan Peterson* DESTROYS militant feminazi SJW!!!”

Joe seems pretty sound by and large but I’ve seen him express views which some might see as transphobic or sexist. He also likes guns, hunting and battering folk in a cage and moans about political correctness. I don’t know a huge amount about him but he definitely comes across more as your South Park conservative type than a socialist.

These Bernie supporters should realise how significant it is that someone like Joe Rogan would endorse him of all candidates, and what this means for the potential to sway those of different political persuasions.

The tendency to find Hitler in everyone who has expressed views you don'r agree with within the last decade is the worst aspect of some modern 'progressives'. I'm a lefty by most measures and would vote for Sanders, but couldn't be further removed from this kind of nonsense.

Your post highlights how farcical it is that sanders is getting stick then.

He seems sound but I disagree with him on some stuff and YouTube made some nasty algorithm after I watched it.

Not a dig at you but if that’s the reasons behind it generally then it’s very silly.

Who are these Bernie supporters that are apparently criticising him? I’ve seen nothing but dunking on establishment Dems. I follow people that are mostly Chapo adjacent though and they’ve all said for months that him doing Rogan was a good idea.

Joe Rogan has an open brain in the most literal sense. As in you can go in and tell him virtually anything and he will believe it. It makes complete sense for someone like Sanders who has a consistent and honest ideology to go on and discuss his politics with him as he would clearly fall head over heels for him and bring plenty of his hog listeners along with him.

His videos are incredibly popular on youtube. If I watch them the algorithm throws Ben Shapiro, Jordan Peterson, Sam Harris, Gavin McInnes etc etc at me.
The very act of sitting down for a podcast (& by all accounts socialising outside of that) means for a lot of young men they go 'I like Joe Rogan and aspire to be like him, he is friendly with all these awful people therefore these awful people must be worth listening to.'
It's a shame because he does have some good conversations with other people who aren't awful but the way the internet is now and the radicalisation that it brings to bear on young white men means I have had to cut him out totally to the extent I've got a keyword blocker extension to firefox to screen out him and any of those other people. Since doing that my youtube viewing experience has become so much better.

Each to their own. I listened to episodes with Shapiro etc. The good thing is it’s a 2 or 3 hour chat so it’s almost impossible for them not to trip themselves up. I like hearing both sides of any debate.

I think the young men you’re referring to are probably already leaning right hence they listen to edited YouTube clips to re-enforce their own views (much like most political YouTube stuff).

I hesitate to think there can be sides and debate around objectively racist views extolled by someone like Shapiro but you'll notice the terms you used there are the terms he likes to use.

YouTube has a financial incentive to direct people to the most polarising stuff, which in the main is the right wing stuff, so it isn't like people are solely picking this stuff on their own. People didn't consciously type 'Alex Jones' into the search box to explain however many billion times Infowars videos have been viewed.

Maybe both sides wasn’t the right term. Probably more ‘I want to decide for myself if this guy is as awful as people say’. Spoiler, he is.

The YouTube thing is a side issue though, no matter where someone like Shapiro gets a platform there will always be someone cutting a video for YouTube saying how he NAILS IT against the left or whatever.

People will do it for just about anything that suits their agenda, like Ricky gervais being a right wing poster boy after his golden globes speech.

I don't need to watch 2 hour long videos to know that the Flat Earth theory is nonsense, same applies to the likes of Ben Shapiro.

If I knew who Ben Shapiro is I wouldn't watch 2 hour videos of him either.
