And I’m sure he can; didn’t Eugene Debs run from jail? The charges will be interesting, as this is the State of New York prosecuting. The Georgia charges are likely soon too, and would make things a bit complex as well. Federal charges are still possible…and those would be the most likely to entail prison time.

Oh aye, they wouldn’t be able to send him to FL even in theory, would they, it’d be Rikers Island or confining him to Trump Tower? Were Cohen and Weisselberg’s convictions State of NY?

The charges in New York are most likely all non-bailable, so initially he’ll be free to be where ever, subject to attending whatever court hearings are necessary for him to attend. Should he be convicted, no one knows what the f**k would happen…with the Secret Service involved, by Federal law, there would be s**tload of issues with any sentence that involved a confinement. However, there is a pretty solid argument that having the Secret Service watching him would ensure compliance with a house arrest scenario. Cohen was Federal, Weisselberg was NY State.
Theroadlesstravelled
His stolen election schtick is genuinely exhausting. It's been a failure of the Dems to not get rid of him properly. The 2 impeachments were a joke and I don't expect this to be any different.

Any decision to testify by Trump would be stupidity personified. Any and every statement he made could possibly be the basis of a perjury charge or possible fraud charges, so vast and wide ranging are the number of cases settled by his organization. A simple statement that contradicts what his team swore to in another case would result in either he or some of his organization facing charges. Any lawyer representing him could conceivably be guilty of professional misconduct if they allowed him to take the stand, so we might have the spectacle of a series of lawyers representing Trump requesting to withdraw from the case.
