He's an off the charts loser. That guy would be cleaning bathrooms if he wasn't born into insane wealth.

Either that or have been gunned down after carrying out a mass shooting.

He is in a world of legal pain!

The GOP are not going to pay his legal fees for the documents case.  Republican senators becoming surprisingly camera shy.

Photo of Top Secret documents on his office floor.

I predict Trump will be the next Richard Nixon Robert Maxwell.

Sarah Palin has just lost a special election for a House seat in Alaska. Could be a good sign for the Dems with the midterms coming up.

She's hated in Alaska because she quit as Governor and did that reality show.

Trump gets his special master, a decision taken by a judge he appointed.  What a corrupt system.

Does this just delay the investigation, or is there any genuine chance that incriminating documents will be held back?

I love Trump's argument that they were all declassified because he's the president and he can declassify whatever he wants. Like Nixon's theory that he was essentially a living God and nothing he did could be illegal.

Doesn't really mean much, if his lawyers had acted straight away maybe, but the FBI and DOJ have had a month to go through everything and the defence intelligence lot get as much time as they want to look over the secret stuff to see if there's any danger to  national security, sources etc. It's all political posturing.

It does because she’s ruled that they cannot use any of the evidence until the special master’s report is complete.  All that’s needed is another Trump appointee to get the role and drag their heels.

Probably just delay but it takes the momentum out of the investigation and means the DoJ is not in charge of the timetable.  I’d imagine it also increases the avenues of appeal though again just a delaying tactic.

Of course delay anything long enough and…

No doubt you've noticed the folk speculating that he's essentially trying to put off everything until 2025 then work to give himself immunity for as much as possible. I dunno how well that strategy's liable to work, but America deserves everything it gets if that's allowed to happen.

DOJ are probably appealing and should have a decent chance of winning , given the laughably amateurish petition Trump's lawyers drew up to convince this judge.

The unfortunate bit is any appeal will go thru the 11th Circuit, which is overseen by…Clarence Thomas. This is why Tory attempts to politicize the judiciary should be sounding screaming alarms in the UK.

He's in a bit of a quandary at the moment. If he announces he's standing for 2024 then it will be difficult for the DOJ to continue investigating him and maybe prosecuting. On the other hand all his fund raising scams will go under proper scrutiny and he won't be able to filch money so easily for paying off hookers and blackmailers his private purposes.
